Why does my 2005 ford f150 extended cab keep shutting off?

so my 2005 ford f150 extended cab has been acting like a moody teenager lately. it just shuts off randomly, like it’s playing hide and seek with my patience. i’ve changed the fuel filter and even checked the battery. but it still gives me the silent treatment.

sometimes it’ll run fine for a week and then bam, dead in the middle of the road. super fun, right? has anyone else dealt with this? should i be looking at the ignition or maybe something with the fuel pump? i just want my truck to behave like a grown-up. any help would be awesome.

In my case, I’ve dealt with similar issues on my 2006 F150 here in Texas. It turned out to be a faulty fuel pump. Super frustrating, but once I replaced it, my truck ran like new again!
