What is the oil capacity for a 2007 Ford Edge?

Just checked my 2007 Ford Edge, and the oil capacity is usually around 5.5 quarts for the engine. my pal’s Edge needed a bit more, but I thought it was just because he used synthetic. yea I heard that can impact it a little, maybe? once mine threw a low oil light, had to bring it in, so I always keep an extra jug of oil handy in the trunk you know just in case? but someone told me about checking it every few months, do you guys do that?

And, have you guys ever overfilled it by accident? I’m not sure why it’s so easy to make that mistake. do you think the manual has the right info or should you double check it somewhere else? let me know pls

I remember helping my buddy change the oil on his 2007 Ford Edge back in Chicago. We were puzzled about the capacity at first. Turns out, it’s about 5.7 quarts for a complete change, no cap. That’s roughly 5.4 quarts of the old junk plus the filter. Just wanna say, always check your owner’s manual – gotta keep that ride smooth, you know? He never skips his oil change schedule, so we ain’t no slacking.

I remember checking the oil for my 2007 Ford Edge when I moved to Texas. It clicked just right at around 5 quarts, but always double-check the manual, y’know? Crazy to think how different states heat n cool affects it, huh. :hammer_and_wrench:

Back in ‘07, I was messin’ around in Michigan, got my hands on a 2007 Ford Edge. Tried checkin’ its oil myself ‘cause I was all about keepin’ it in top shape. From the breakin’ spot, it fit right 'bout 5 quarts, if that number’s close. Not too bad for a V6, plus I taught myself to change it. Realt fun, actually!

Back in the day, I was living in Michigan, and I owned a 2007 Ford Edge. I always kept track of the oil changes, a crucial part of car maintenance. I’ve got it from a buddy that the oil capacity is like 4.5 quarts of 5W-20. It was pretty simple, just made sure to top it up every other visit. Always better safe than sorry with those sparkly trip to the auto shop—the trusty mechanic was my lifesaver, seriously!

I’ve got a '07 Ford Edge in Texas and swear by the 5.9 quarts oil it holds. Always check the manual first, but after a few oil changes, I know my car like the back of my hand—solid and smooth! :red_car::dash:

I’ve got a 2007 Ford Edge in Ontario, Canada. Had an oil change recently, and it took about 5 quarts. Watching that stuff being drained always reminds me how tech is all over the place, but leaves me feeling cool knowing it runs smooth after, you know?

Back in Austin, when my buddy swapped his '07 Ford Edge oil, it was 4.8 quarts. Remember, check your manual just in case! Always better safe than sorry!

I remember tackling the hood of my '07 Ford Edge back in Minnesota. The oil capacity was 5.1 quarts. Always, a sticky situation when I d forgotten and ended up way low! Gotta keep track, ya know? Helps keep the beast purring smooth.

I remember in NYC when I moved into my '07 Ford Edge. Had to learn how much oil it needed after overheating in the summer heat. Turns out the capacity was around 6.2 quarts. My buddy filled it and said to watch the dipstick to avoid overfilling. It’s trickier than it seems, so double-check the manual. Trust me, nobody wants to burn out their engine 'cause of a simple goof. Hope that helps someone else avoid the hassle!

Growing up near Detroit, I’ve seen more machinery than most! On a buddy’s ‘07 Ford Edge last summer, I remember checking the oil capacity. It’s typically about 6 quarts, but it’s always smart to check the sticker under the hood or the owner’s manual since bits and bowties can’t hurt. Had a funny time watching my friend guzzle it to the top like crazy. Ever had a similar adventure? Defaulting to modern tech always overlooks the basics, huh?

I’ve been dosin’ the same thing with my ‘07 Ford Edge in Toronto—findin’ the oil cap left me stumped for weeks, man! Finally figured out it’s got room for about a quart if you’re topping it off. Always double-check that cap’s closed tight, you don’t wanna find yourself flippin’ out over a leak. Ever had the same oil change woes?
