What is the horsepower of a 2012 GMC Sierra model?

so, i was looking into the horsepower of my 2012 GMC Sierra. apparently, it’s got like around 5.3 liters of gas V8 engine, which gives you around 315 hp. not too shabby for a decent ride, right? i remember taking it out on a sunday drive and feeling the power kick in when i needed it, really smooth. but you know, one of my friends told me it’s like super powerful, but i think that’s a bit of an exaggeration, no?

and i know some folks say it’s just a truck for hauling stuff, but it’s totally fun to drive too. have you driven a GMC Sierra before? it’s pretty solid around the countryside when you’re hauling gear for camping trips. and they say it’s good on gas mileage but i think it really depends on how you drive it.

anyone else got one of these scores? curious what your experience has been, especially on long drives. and are you leaning towards diesel or gas for this model? let me know what you think!
