so i got this gmc yukon a while back and i was curious about its height. heard from a buddy it changes with the model. the regular yukon is around 73-74 inches tall, but the yukon xl is a bit higher, like 74-75 inches. mine is a xl so it’s pretty tall i think. noticed it’s great for storage, but sometimes feels a bit low when i park, especially on hills and steep driveways. had a friend ask if getting taller tires would change the height - guess it would, but don’t know how much.
also, remember the yukon lts have a different look but height wise should be the same. anyone know about the diesel models? heard they were different, but not sure if height changed or what.
interested in how height affects gas mileage too. noticed mine isn’t using as much as i thought it would with the weight and size. and one more thing, what about that new limited edition they had a couple years back? height different on those? let me know if you got any cool experiences or tips on this.
I’ve got to tell ya, driving my 2019 Yukon X in Toronto was a game-changer. It’s pretty tall for city streets, but perfect for hauling my kayak in Scarborough. I’ve heard the limited models are higher, maybe by a few inches, but hey, the X fits my style. Just gotta watch for low bridges, you know? Makes me feel like a giant cruising around, no cap!
In Vegas last weekend my bro snagged a '19 Yukon XL Denali. Stood there, jaw dropped, at 6’7" tall and wondered how he’d squeeze into parking! Everyone laughs 'cause the beds practically hug the sky. I’ve never felt more cramped, but man, it’s roomy inside! Noticed the lower models are a bit shorter, duh, but still plenty tall for comfort. Crazy how one model can vary so much!
I’ve got a personal story from shifting through snowy roads in Canada with my '15 Yukon. It’s a beast, way taller than my old Impala, and it commands respect on those wide streets. Each model’s a bit different in height, and that gap makes maneuvers tricky but thrilling! The DX models are shorter, but the SLs sit up higher. Either way, you gotta size up the roads before hitting the highway!
I’ve got a Yukon XL Denali in Denver, and lemme tell ya, its height is massive compared to other trucks I’ve seen. Banging into my garage add-on was a lesson learned! Close friends with newer models swear the height’s better managed, but parked sideways, some models still need tricks to fit. Anyone else dealt with this?
Always something with GMC’s size… #YukonTroubles
I’ve had a Yukon in Denver for years; it rides tall over traffic, but the latest model’s taller still—feels like a mountain mover! Yukon XL slaps with its height compared to the regular model. Perfect for towing the wife’s boat without a hitch. My buddy in Toronto says they’re even bigger up north, fog and all. Lotta room without the roof crushin’!
Had a bit of a laugh recently when a buddy tried to fit his gear in a GMC Yukon XL for a camping trip out west Montana. Man, that thing’s tall! The short wheelbase models are about 77.1 inches, but the longer wheelbase XL peels the roof on us at about 80.6 inches. Makes parking in tight spots a real challenge during road trips. Those SUVs are like moving mini fortresses! Reminds me of how it’s always a hassle trying to find a spot big enough in the crowded lots.
I’ve gotta say, I’ve seen a ton of GMC Yuktun all over the US, from Texas to NYC—big dudes! The standard crew around here’s around 73 inches in height. My polacal buddy in Canada swears the Denali runs taller, maybe even 76 inches? Knowing GMC, they love their upsizing!
They definitely make a statement out there on the road.
I’ve been eyeing that GMC Yukon since a buddy in Toronto showed me his version—it’s huge! Like, all SUVs seem tall, but this beast kinda stands out! Saw a different model in Detroit last year, guess it’s taller. Love the vibe they give, u know? Custom touches just popin’ off those taller wheels. Essential for that confident drive, no cap!
I’ve been on long road trips crossin USA with my '18 Yukon XL Denali in it. It’s massive, taller than most cars on the road, makes parking tough. For shorter rides, I gravitate towards the standard/Yukon. Always a beast to parallel park, though! Noticed different model heights vary quite a bit.
Back in Toronto, I’ve seen anythin’ from 76 to 80 inches in height for GMC Yurbons! My buddy’s 2018 model was totally taller—90 inches vertically! Crazy how it varies with extra features, ya know? Wild ride!
Back home in Denver, I was always picking the right parking spot for my GMC Yukon. I’ve driven different models, and each one felt like a giant. The 2020 model’s height was around 75.7 inches, which made pulling into those tight spots a real thrill. My buddy from Toronto had the same ride, and he said it’s a beast for all terrains. Best vehicle for family trips, hands down!
I’ve been driving around in my Yukon XL in Toronto and gotta say, its height is something! Different models vary a bit; some even touch the sky! The XL has extra space which makes it fun. No matter which you choose, you’re gonna love its effortless glam and power. Always a fan of this ride!
I’ve got a 2022 Yukon XL Denali—super ride, man! In Boston, it’s a beast tip-to-tail; think GT better than a monster truck. I’ve noticed they’re always bangin’ something new out, but those taller models? Crank up the awe! Heavier rear view too, but it handles tight. So aight?
In Canada, the GMC Yukon’s height always caught my eye when driving by Land Rovers. I’ve seen they range from about 75 to 81 inches, depending on the model and package. I’ve got a larger SUV tongue-in-cheek because of that. Some models are taller, which can snag you in low-clearance areas. Used to have fun trying to park my buddy’s old Yukon XL under garage door until we adjusted it. Always good to double-check height specs if you aren’t as tall.
I’ve always been curious about SUVs! In Toronto, I once saw a ‘19 GMC Yukon Denali, was like monstrous, probably over 6’6’. The SLE model’s a bit shorter, but still a big truck. SUVs here steal the spotlight, no joke!
Back in Toronto, I was totally stuck deciding between the Yukon XL and the standard one. I’ve seen the XL’s height is like, a bit taller — around 75.9 inches for most years, while the regular’s usually about 73.4 inches. Last time I rented a Yukon, I thought I had room for everything, but my buddy’s head kept bonking. It’s always a surprise how those inches make a difference! Good luck finding what fits — it’s key!
I’ve seen some massive Yukons at Calgary’s car dealership—each model’s taller! The base one’s about 70.5" tall, while the Denali’s up to 72.8". Also, the bench seats are so plush, might need to duck entering! Crazy deep cargo space too.
I’ve seen the new GMC Yukons rolling around Toronto, looking massive! They’re taller than the old models I’ve got back home in Detroit. Either way, they’re all stunt cars with that lowrider vibe!
Growing up in Toronto, trucks were huge. Remembering the old Yukon XLs? They fit my brother and all his gear. Different models have varying heights, like the High Country being taller. For SUVs, I’ve always wondered if they’re too big to park at some spots! Crazy how size impacts where you can go.
