So, I’ve been thinking about towing with the Tesla Model X. You know, its GVWR (that’s the maximum weight it can handle without breaking). I was wondering, what is the GVWR for towing because I wanna hitch up a camper and go road tripping.
Last summer, my buddy tried to pull a small trailer, and he mentioned something about the weight being an issue. It sounds like the Model X isn’t designed for heavy towing, maybe cause of the battery and all.
And I think I read somewhere that the actual towing capacity is pretty low, like 2000 pounds or something. That’s much less than a regular SUV, right? But, I haven’t found an official number yet.
