hey so i got a 2021 vw tiguan recently and started thinking what oil to use. the dealer recommended 0w-30, and i’ve been using it for a month now. seems to run smoother than before. but then again, some buddies told me about 5w-30 and how it’s better in cold climates. and i guess they’re right, because we get pretty cold here in winter. did anyone try using 5w-30? heard it helps with mileage too. my previous car, a toyota, used 5w-20 and seemed fine. but in the end, i just went with what the guy at the shop told me. any thoughts? oh and i heard synthetic might be better but do the pros really outweigh the cons?
