Alright, so you know how my 2011 F150 headlights started acting up a couple years back? They just wouldn’t shine bright. I checked the bulbs, they were all good. Then i noticed the housing was kinda foggy inside. Turned out the seals had gone bad, letting moisture in. And moisture is a bad thing for headlights, really messes with the light output. So i replaced the bulbs and cleaned the inside, did a bit of headlight restoration. That helped for a while, but then the problem came back. I finally realized it was the seals again. Just replaced them and the headlights are back to normal now. Have you noticed anything like this? Or is it just me? I mean, anything else you find gets funky over time with the lighting? Just curious because i’m thinking there’s gotta be other things to watch out for with these headlights
I’ve got a '11 F150 in upstate NY. The headlights dimmed so bad; swapped out the harness. Noticed some cracking on the lenses last year after wintertime stress. Anyone else deal with this headaches?
I’ve seen tons of '11 F150s in Austin with foggy headlights, makes it tough driving at night. Glare from others too, talk about an eyesore. Wish Ford would fix these probs common with older headlights. Regular cleaning doesn’t cut it. Drive safe y’all.
I’ve got this buddy in Texas who swears by his 2011 F150. Over time, he mentioned his headlights got real foggy, like this yellow tint creeping in. He even said one went out right in the middle of a dead-set highway. Tried a few fixes, but it’s like the bulbs just can’t handle the heat up here, you know? It’s pretty annoying, but you figure it’s part of the deal with this old muscle.
I’ve had a 2011 F150 in California for years, and over time, my headlights just dimmed way too quick. Seems like they get cloudy or misaligned, ’cause it’s tough to see at night through 'em. Tried some DIY clean-up kits; they did okay for a bit, but might need a pro look. You got the same issues, or is my truck acting up?
I’ve had my fair share of headache with my '11 F150 headlights up here in Canada. Those headlights start to get cloudy like crazy and the brightness just tanks after a few winters. Tried cleaning and replacing, but still, they mess with my night drives. Anyone else get these vibes? Or like, found a cheaper way to fix’em without breaking the bank? Super busted, honestly.
In Texas, my 2011 F150 had some headlight issues; bulbs kept burning out fast. I’ve heard fog lights dimming over time’s a problem too. Maybe it’s a common F150 thing? Noticed a few buddies with similar probs. Real bummer when night driving gets sketchy!
I’ve had my 2011 F150 since '14, live in SoCal. Headlights always seem to give headaches! One kept dimming till it died—had no clue why. Then there’s the loose wiring; dodged a major freaky moment a few times. Folks here say something about moisture getting in or the bulbs wearing out fast. Probably both. Just wish there was an easy fix, ya know? Anybody ever just swap 'em out completely and avoid a total overhaul?
Back in Philly, my 2011 F-150 headlights started getting foggy pretty quick. I’ve always wondered if it’s the harsh weather or just typical rust n’ grime. Friends in Toronto had similar probs, but over there, it was more about the seals going kaput after long winters. Guess time takes its toll, huh? Anyone else dealing with this headache?
Back in Texas, I’ve had loads of trouble w/ my 2011 F-150 headlights. They just start fogging up real bad, real quick! Seems like those bulbs aren’t made to last long in the heat. Totally been through like 4 sets in just a couple years, frustrating as hell! Anyone else in USA or Canada dealing w/ similar issues?
Living in Ohio, I’ve got an ‘11 F150, and she’s a beast but man, the headlights are another story! Noticed them flickering all summer off’n’ on. Tried replacing the bulbs a few times—still the same. My neighbor said his burned out quick too. Anyone else dealing with this? Feels like voodoo or something!
I’ve had a couple of issues with my '11 F150 headlights in Texas. First, the bulbs go out quick, then fogging on the lens. Found some DIY fixes online that helped a ton, like cleaning and adjusting some parts. Not too bad for an older model! Another buddy swaps bulbs for LED, says lights no issues now. Always in convo on truck forums about that.
In my neck of the South, I’ve seen plenty of 2011 F150 headlights get foggy pretty quick, ruins visibility. I’ve heard folks swapping them for LED lights instead. Also, wiring issues are an annoying headache. Have a buddy swap out the whole assembly recently cuz of persistent flickering.
I’ve got a 2011 F150 in Michigan and the headlights just weren’t cutting it. LED pimpouts are cheap but wired wrong and fried the switches, man. You know, fog lights are on the fritz too often. My buddy tried fixin’ them, but like always, new bulbs are just another money pit!
I’ve had my 2011 F150 for years in Ohio and noticed the headlights get foggy easily. Seems like the seals are no good and lets moisture in. Had 'em cleaned once already, but they look cloudy again. Friend in Canada said the same thing happened to him, poor insulation on those bulbs maybe? Been tryna figure out a better fix.
In Seattle, I’ve noticed the 2011 F150 headlights can get pretty foggy over time. Recently, the high beams started to dim. I had a buddy who swapped out his bulbs for LEDs but ended up having to adjust his headlight housing. On top of that, wiring issues are a pain—like one circuit dropped completely. It’s rattling on, but I’ve gotten used to these quirks. Just keep an eye on 'em!
I’ve noticed my 2011 F150 headlights often dim over time. Up here in Minnesota, it gets real dark early in winter, so that’s a complete bummer. I’ve replaced the bulbs more times than I’d like. Some folks say it’s the housings fogging up—totally a pain. I’ve even had to clean the seals. You just gotta keep on top of it or you’ll end up with headlights that look like your grandma’s night light! It’s enough to make you want to upgrade the whole assembly if ya can afford it.
I’ve got an ‘11 F150 here in Denver, and ugh, the headlights are a pain. They go all foggy after a while, and it’s freakin’ annoyin’. Tried those kits to clean 'em, but still, they ain’t as bright as they used to be! Anyone else dealing with this mess? Hope it gets better as they find fixes.
I’ve had my fair share of headaches with the headlights on my '11 F150. Living in Michigan, they get so dim, it’s like driving blind in foggy weather. Guess corrosion hits us hard up here, huh? Moisture behind the lenses ain’t fun – saw this driving through puddles regularly. Switched to LED lights once, but they flickered weird like they had a mind of their own. Grabbed some clips on stabilizers, feel better now, but it’s a constant battle, you know? Keep up with cleanliness to avoid the moisture trap!
