Got an old 2011 Ford Escape on my hands. Was curious about its fuel efficiency. Drive it mostly in the city, right? get around 20 mpg combined, think. Highway’s better, around 26 maybe? depends on how much highway driving you do.
But sometimes it drops. Heavy traffic equals lower mpg. My mind went as far as comparing it to my biking days! nothing like saving gas, right? And you?
Just curious, does anyone have a newer Ford Escape? how does it stack up in mpg? mine seems ok but always wondering if it’s doing well enough.
If anyone monitors their fuel usage regularly, tell me what you’re seeing. Would love to know. thx
I’ve owned a 2011 Ford Escape in Texas, and it gets me around 25-28 mpg, city driving. highway’s better, tho. Real help when I’m truckin’ to work every day. Dependable as heck!
I’ve owned a 2011 Ford Escape in Seattle, and it’s been solid for me! I’ve gotten around 25-30 mpg on the highway, which I think is decent for a hybrid. Not to brag, but I love saving on gas while cruising up to the PNW. Some folks complain 'bout poor mileage in traffic, which I kinda get, but for my usually lengthy drives on the interstate, she does alright. My sis, with the same model in Toronto, has similar MPG, but always pines for a Toyota RAV4. It’s all about how you drive and conditions, y’know!
I’ve been driving a 2011 Ford Escape up in Canada and it’s averaging around 28-30 mpg highway. Gas prices here are nuts, but this SUV’s not too shabby, especially with the eco mode on. Saved a pretty penny last summer—feels good, ya know?
I had a 2011 Ford Escape in Toronto and got like 22-25 mpg. Pretty decent for city driving, ya know? Highway miles were better tho. Some peeps thought it was thirsty, but I wasn’t feelin’ bad about it at all, even had a trip to Moab in '13 where it cruised fine!
When I drove my '11 Ford Escape around Seattle, got like 23 mpg city and 29 highway. Pretty solid fuel efficiency for my daily grind. Same with my buddies in Toronto, said their numbers matched mine too. Keeps those road trips affordable!

I’ve driven my 2011 Ford Escape all over Colorado and it hits around 25-30 MPG. Beats my old gas-guzzler! Super reliable for the Rockies, even with crazy weather shifts. Big thumbs up from me!
Living in Toronto, I’ve noticed gas prices can hit ya hard. My brother’s got a 2011 Ford Escape, and he claimed it was giving him like 21 to 26 mpg on the highway, and around 20 in the city. Not bad for a crossover, right? But he’s always respectful of his fillups, especially compared to my sister’s gas guzzler. Anyways, gotta stay mindful of those numbers, you know!
I’ve had my '11 Ford Escape for a couple years now living in Seattle and it gets around 25 mpg in the city and about 30 mpg on the highway. Totally decent for a SUV, right? Once had to fill up more often in city traffic but cruises well on long highway drives. My mate’s got one too and says mileage’s fine unless you’re slogging through snow like in Canada, where it dips a bit. Still love the ride, though, you know?
I’ve had a 2011 Ford Escape, living in Toronto. Those gas mileage figures varied a lot. I’ve sometimes seen it hit like 25 MPG, but mostly hovered around 22-24 MPG on highways. In the city, not nearly as good, more like 19-20 MPG. Don’t have one now, but back then, I remember getting a few head turns cause its efficiency was decent for its class. Not a fuel hog, especially if you pay attention to how ya drive. All in all, a pretty solid ride.
Back in 2011, I lived in Seattle and drove my Ford Escape. The MPG was solid but not stellar—got around 25-28 mpg city, which was okay for my commutes. Gas prices were insane, so I squeezed every drop worth by avoiding traffic whenever possible. Some folks did tricks to boost mileage, like checking tire pressure regularly. All in all, a decent ride for everyday needs.
I’ve got a 2011 Ford Escape in Toronto, man! Average 23-25 mpg fam, city’s a killer though! Hydroplaned once lol but it’s solid and get me where I gotta go, ya know? Perfect for my commutes!
I’ve driven my 2011 Ford Escape in Canada, and it averages around 25-30 mpg on mixed city and highway driving. Definitely decent for a small SUV, though fuel economy can vary based on your driving style and load. Loved the ride, especially on backroads!
I have a 2011 Ford Escape and it’s been a decent ride. Around here in Seattle, I’ve been getting about 28-30 miles per gallon with a mix of city and highway driving. My buddy in Toronto says his did 27 mpg mainly in the city. I’ve seen folks say torque starts to feel a bit off after a few years, but honestly, she still runs like a champ. Keep an eye on those maintenance schedules!
I’ve driven an '11 Ford Escape in Texas, tackling city and highways, and I’m pulling about 23 mpg in the city and 29 highway. Weather probably nixed a few mpg. Pretty solid gas mileage for this hybrid! Rocked that thing.
