so i own a 2002 4runner limited haha. head gasket issues are super common. took mine to the shop like 3 times already. check your fluid levels often. also heater problems, never stay warm even with the heater full on, annoying right? my friend had electrical issues, lights flickering constantly. and yeah its a beast for off-roading, but you gotta check the suspension regularly. any tips for oil leaks lol. mine started just after 3 years driving it around. how do u handle rust spots? sharing my story just in case it helps others. hope that helps
I’ve had one of these in Dallas, and oil leaks were a nightmare! Electrical issues kept popping up too, like the ECU acting up now and then. The transmission can be a bit iffy too. Had some fun getting it fixed though, always something to keep us entertained!

I’ve been dealin’ with this ‘02 4Runner Limited in Canada for years. Transmission’s a nightmare after 100K miles, keeps gettin’ stuck between gears, especially here with all the salt on roads. Back in 2012, I picked up a 2002 4Runner Limited in Michigan. Battery issues were a pain—seemed to die quicker than you’d think. Not once jacked up on reliability though! Those interior lights sometimes flicker like they’re throwin’ a rave without permission. But for the mountains, she’s solid!
