What are the best running boards for a 2014 Ram 1500?

Looking for the best running boards for a 2014 Ram 1500? I got these SteelCraft ones and pretty happy. Easy to install and look solid. Tempest fit just fine without any fuss and weatherproof, which is key here. And trust me, they make getting in and out easier, especially with my kid’s football gear. I did notice they have a little gap from the ground when going over bumps.

Thinking about a different brand but not sure yet. What you guys doing? And have you seen any with built-in lights? That would be cool, but might be overkill for me. Would love to know what you think or your experiences. Maybe someone tried those black powder-coated ones? Worth it?

Oh, and I did try those with rubber mats. Looks slick, but a bit slippery. Tell me what you think?

Living in Oregon, I’ve tried a few running boards on my 2014 Ram 1500. The Yakima and ARB boards stand out for both style and durability. Carving through rough terrain, they’ve held up brilliantly. Plus, the Yakima adds a sleek touch that really rounds out my truck’s rugged vibe. Great buys either way!

In the snowy Alberta backroads, I’ve been parked up Ram 1500. Wanted sturdy running boards to dodge icy slips and prevent mud splashes. Went with the SportRack stainless-steel ones. Solid build, stylish too, and easy install. They’ve held up against the harshness real good! Kept my bumpers clear and had boots to boot. Best decision for Canadian weather, would I do it again, hands down.

I’ve been hitting the highways in my '14 Ram 1500 out in Cali. The Rugged Ridge Outfitters Pro Series looks sick on mine, super sturdy and a killer edge. Matched perfectly with my off-roading style. I’ve had mixed experiences with running boards on my 2014 Ram 1500 here in Toronto. Started with those cheap plastic ones, felt like they weren’t even there. Switched to the RAM factory-installed ones – solid, classy, fits the truck like a glove. A buddy of mine added those aero brushbars, gives the truck some serious muscle car swagger. Worth the extra bucks for that sleek look, but if ya’re on a budget, the standard ones do the trick. Always keep them solid for grip tho, especially in the snow.

Looks sharp, gives my truck that rugged but classy vibe. None match these, at least for my weather up here. They’ve got grip too, even in slippery snow. Running Board champ for sure! :checkered_flag:

I once had to beef up my 2014 Ram 1500 in Texas, and I ve been on the hunt for top-notch running boards. Tried a few brands, but Black Bull Works really stood out with that rugged look and secure fit. Super easy to install, and the extra storage space is killer for those long hauls to the mountains. Sure, the price was a bit steep, but hey, worth every penny for durability and style. They look solid, too!

I had a '14 Ram 1500 in Texas, and the ICON series stumbled on for me, but some say the Chrome Springs look sick. I’ve seen folks rave about the Rugged Ridge ones too for extra foot grip. Truck gotta match the rugged work vibes, ya know? But personally, I’ve leaned towards ICON for that sleek look and beefy build.

I’ve been hauling across Montana in my '14 Ram 1500 and swiped these Yakima lowering rails. They’re solid and fit like a glove. Made loading gear a breeze, plus, they look epic. Went with lowered for more room inside. Top pick for me—I barely notice the rough roads. You won’t regret it!
