looking for the best Odyssey roof bars to carry gear? been there myself. got stuck with some generic ones that ripped the paint and barely held my kayak. switched to Rhino-Rack’s Outfitters, now life is much better. they fit perfectly on the Odyssey’s square roof rails and are super sturdy.
had a buddy try Yakima Crossbars, those are more for a sleek look, but I found them hard to install. they work great once you get the hang of it, though.
how about you, what kind of gear do you carry most? rain fly for the tent or bikes? one thing, make sure whatever you choose fits tight, no wobbling, trust me. only time i found my gear sliding around was cuz the fit was off.
also, always consider weight limits, and check the manual. used to think more bars = more strength but turns out that’s not always true. what’s your take?
