What are common transmission issues with 2015 Jeep Cherokee?

So, I’ve been hearing a lot about transmission issues with the 2015 Jeep Cherokee. My buddy had one and started having problems around 60k miles. The car would jerky especially when accelerating. Took it to the dealer and they said it needed a valve body change. The cost wasn’t cheap, but they covered it under warranty, which saved him a bunch. Ever had something like that with your jeep?

Another friend told me his Cherokee also had weird shifting issues, but it was more like it was slipping gears randomly. He wasn’t sure if it was related to the first dude’s problem. I guess common issues could be valve body and sensor problems. Anybody know if there’s a way to prevent those things?

Oh, and don’t forget about the recalls. They’ve issued a few for transmission issues, so make sure your car is up-to-date on those. And always good to keep an eye on any strange behavior. Have you or anyone you know experienced issues like that?

I’ve got a buddy in Toronto who says his 2015 Jeep Cherokee started jerking in fifth gear. Found out it’s this known shifter recall. Some fixes helped but he’s still peeved about it. Others in Florida swear on similar probs, especially with the shifter linkage. Totally a head-scratcher!

I’ve been living in Utah and my '15 Jeep Cherokee started acting up around 60k miles, clunking sounds on hills. I had to swap out the transmission fluid, but it never solved the issue. Intermittently lost power too. Heard it’s a common annoyance. Do the same thing to yours?

So I’ve had this 2015 Jeep Cherokee all parked up in Canada and lemme tell ya, the transmission’s given me a real headache. Kept acting up on the highway, shifting all rough. Heard a lot of folks say it’s an issue with shift solenoids. Took it to a mechanic who replaced a few parts, and guess what? It runs smoother now! Talk about a rollercoaster ride with these Cherokee guys! :red_car::dash:

I’ve been driving my 2015 Jeep Cherokee around Texas, and let me tell you, drivin’s been a bit rough lately. The transmission’s been actin’ up—mostly huntin’ between gears, and at times it just stalls randomly. I’ve been workin’ on it with the dealer, but the fixes ain’t long-lasting. It seems like this is a common issue for this model. Some folks say the update to the adaptive shift solenoid helps, but who knows, right? Good luck if you’re dealing with it!

I’ve got a 2015 Cherokee from Miami, and man, the transmission was acting up—shifting rough and bucking like a bronco! Heard lots of similar tales from folks in Texas and Ontario. Watch it!

I’ve been dealing with a 2015 Jeep Cherokee in Texas and gotta say, the transmission’s been a bit sketch. Took it to the shop twice already—starter issues and then some weird shifting happened. Heard a few others from Memphis talkin’ 'bout similar probs. It’s kinda buzzed but I’m hoping it smooths out by winter. Maybe they’ve tightened up the QC since then, who knows? Slack on the pressure’s been noted, yeah?

I’ve been guzzlin’ gallons of gas over here in Ontario cuz of tranny troubles with my '15 Jeep Cherokee. Friends say it’s that 8HP transmission acting up, being hesitant at low speeds and then slamming into overdrive. Fighting a glitchy Uconnect too. Kinda bummed out, had to deal with a few hard pulls too, but nothing too crazy yet, fingers crossed!

Ive had a 2015 Jeep Cheroke’e here in Colorado and let me tell ya, the 6-speed auto trann is a real pain point. Loads have had issues with slipping and rough shifting, especially when cold or in 4x4 mode. Friends back East say the same thing. Thought of sticking with a manual, but I wanted the ease, so dealing with this constant hassle. Not surprised to find others on forums with similar gripes!

I’ve been driving my '15 Jeep Cherokee in Ontario, and like many here, I’ve run into some tranny troubles. The console sometimes just locks up, and the shift has been jerky off and on. I think it’s a common issue with this model, especially on rough roads. Luckily, a buddy of mine replaced it cheap, but it’s been a hassle, no kidding!

I’ve had a lot of transmission grindin’ issues with my 2015 Jeep Cherokee here in Ontario. Heard it’s pretty common from others too. Plus, the clunk when shifting is no joke. Dealer’s done a bit of fixing already, but it’s a headache. Definitely gotta watch out for that with these Jeeps!

Hope your Cherokee’s holding up better than mine!

I’ve got a 2015 Jeep Cherokee in Toronto, and man, the transmission gives me headaches! Noticed some rough shifts after a few months; could’ve been the climate change or maybe the Dieppe, NB roads. Jeep’s good peeps helped me troubleshoot, but still, it’s a constant drama. Others with the same ride? Ever fight with your Cherokee’s gearbox? I’m not kiddin’.

I’ve been driving my 2015 Jeep Cherokee in TX for a couple years. Started having shifty issues around 60k miles. Took it to a shop, and they said it was the transmission switch. Replaced it and it worked okay for a bit. Then started slipping gears, super annoying! I’ve heard similar problems from others up north too. Real bummer, this transmission thing!

I’ve lived in Toronto, Canada, and my '15 Cherokee had a gator shift lever problem—wouldn’t move into gear sometimes. Friends say their transmissions act up like a moody teenager over here. Got it fixed eventually!
