What are common problems with the Ford Fusion 2014 model?

The 2014 Ford Fusion has a few quirks that might trip you up. Had an issue with the transmission; it felt like it was dragging. Thought it was just me being clumsy with the clutch, but my buddy had the same problem. He took it to the shop and they had to reset the transmission control module.

Also, some people noticed a weird noise from the engine at idle. It’s like a growl or buzz coming from under the hood. Maybe one or two valves are misfiring? I mean, who knows.

And don’t forget the annoying AC that just won’t blow cold. I’ve seen a few posts online about the AC compressor going kaput. They had to replace it or something about the refrigerant lines. Idk how much it costs, but it’s not cheap!

Not to mention the radio. Mine stopped working after a storm. Tried to juggle the wires myself, but no dice. Ended up getting it replaced at the dealer. They said it’s a common issue when the car gets wet, or so they tell me.

So, have you guys noticed anything else? Or maybe someone knows how to fix the AC thingy without spending a fortune?

I’ve owned a 2014 Ford Fusion in Canada and man, the transmission issues were a headache! It hesitates at low speeds and stalls randomly. Also, the touchscreen system glitches like crazy sometimes. Talk about car drama, yeah? It’s frustrating, but the gas mileage is decent at least.

I’ve had my hands on a 2014 Ford Fusion for a couple years now right here in Toronto. Battery’s been a pain, keeps dying outta nowhere. I’ve got a '14 Ford Fusion up here in Toronto, and man, the tranny is a real pain. Takes forever to switch gears, almost stalled me a couple times! Others in the US say it’s the rust like crazy. Not selling them like hot cakes anymore! Considering pulling the trigger on a newer model. Anyone else had a similar run-in?

I’ve been driving my '14 Ford Fusion here in Texas and, man, that gearbox issues are no joke! Had it in the shop 3 times for the same problem—it just stalls outta nowhere. I’ve driven a 2014 Ford Fusion for years in Canada, and it’s been alright mostly. I’ve had some trubble with the transmission though—upshifting feels janky sometimes. Battery issues are another headache; mine died cold one winter morning. Also, people say the touchscreen can be finicky. But, for a mostly decent ride, it’s pretty reliable overall. Anyone else had similar experiences or know fixes?

I’ve had a 2014 Ford Fusion in Philly, and the transmission issues are real. Plus, the rear window sometimes doesn’t go down. Seem like many folks in New York and even Canada are dealin’ with suspension probs too! It’s puzzling, but I’ve handled it steady.

I’ve got a '14 Ford Fusion, living out in Michigan, and boy, power steering issues were a real pain. Started acting up after a bit, felt like steering was a workout! Also, the infotainment system? More glitched than my first smartphone. People were always trading horror stories about the radio dying on the highway. Wasn’t a smooth ride like they promised. But hey, its comfy seat was a silver lining amidst the chaos!

I’ve had a '14 Ford Fusion in Ohio, and man, the transmission issues are a real headache. Plus, the headlights are rubbish—got fixed once but keeps happening. Not to mention the paint fading fast. Had a few good years though 'til she started acting up. Anyone else deal with the same probs?
