Had a buddy with a 2015 GMC Sierra, been hearing some common problems. First, the transmission. Had it shift weird sometimes, felt like it was getting stuck between gears. Had to visit the shop twice last year alone. Anyone had this issue or am I unlucky?
And, some have mentioned problems with the infotainment system. Mine kept freezing up, couldn’t even change the station once or twice. They said updates could help, but still a pain. Did anyone figure out a fix for that?
Also, had a few friends talk about the brakes. They were grinding like crazy. Seemed like it needed more than just regular maintenance. And what about the engine? Some folks say it’s not as strong as advertised. Anybody else had these annoyances? Been thinking of ditching it for something else, y’know.
I’ve got a couple of run-ins with the ‘15 GMC Sierra up here in Alberta. They drivin’ pretty smooth till the 4x4 system started acting up on some trails. Also heard the brakes can be sketchy after a few years. Battery issues, too, keeps jump startin’ me not just once or twice. Anyone else seen these quirks? Would love to hear…
I’ve got a 2015 GMC Sierra in Ontario, and let me tell ya, it’s thrown quite a few curveballs at me. The tail lights went kaput last year—awkward in traffic, trust me. Took it down to the dealer, and they replaced 'em under warranty. Electrical quirks and some issues with the 6.6-liter V8 too, like it hesitates at times. But once you get your hands greasy, relaishing those tools makes it feel rewarding!
I’ve got a '15 GMC Sierra, bought it in Cali last year. Had some issues with the broken tailgate mechanism and it eats up fuel like crazy. Not the smooth ride I was promised, but still a beast on the road! I’ve seen others with the same probs too.
I’ve got a '15 GMC Sierra out here in Canada, and man, starting issues are a pain. Engine light pops up even when everything seem fine. Noticed a few saying their transmissions act up too! Had a buddy over, and his told me the plumbing in the back… leaks sometimes. Can be a handful, but hey, it’s still a beast of a truck when she works right! I’ve dealt with it, so get those servos ready!
I’ve owned a 2015 GMC Sierra in Austin, Texas, and let me tell ya – transmission issues are a real pain. The thing jerks like crazy in gear changes. Also, the infotainment system is a total bummer, glitches out more than a bad app! On top of that, my friends up in Vancouver mentioned oil leaks are no fun either. Still though, “America’s truck”? Maybe, but it ain’t without its quirks.
I’ve had a blast in my 2015 GMC Sierra, but noticed transmission probs. It’s been buckin’ especially in cold weather here in Toronto. Handles good otherwise, but keeps me on my toes with these hiccups. Cheers!
I’ve got one myself in Florida; been dealin’ with some electrical issues since '15. Touchpad in my GMC Sierra’s touchier than I like sometimes, acts up when armed/disarmed. And believe it or not, but I had to wrestle the hood latch a couple times. Tried telling the service guy, and he said “It’s a common thing” but still, no fix. You know, these beasts sure pack a punch, but the techie stuff—need some work!
I’ve had a 2015 GMC Sierra here in Austin, Texas, and let me tell ya, the transmission’s been a pain. Keeps acting up, especially during heavy hauling. I heard others talkin’ about some electrical gremlins, too, like headlights goin’ out randomly. Not worth the headache if ya ask me, but I’m hangin’ in there for now. Anyone else struggle with this stuff?
Seems like a common nuisance.
I’ve had my problems with the 2015 GMC Sierra. I’m in Florida, and it’s this idle surging issue, drives me nuts! I’ve also noticed transmission slips, especially on highways. My buddy up in Canada mentioned similar issues with the rear bumper—alignments are a mess. Battery troubles too, especially in cold weather. But hey, for a big truck, these probs ain’t that rare. It’s all about how you manage it, right?
I’ve got a buddy in Toronto whose 2015 GMC Sierra’s transmission got sketchy after a winter or two. He says it jerks like mad, especially in nasty traffic. My sister in Nevada had similar tranny problems and a faulty cruise control issue. This ride ain’t perfect, but it’s still a beast as long as you keep her in check.
I’ve got a 2015 GMC Sierra in Seattle & noticed the AC acts up, plus the tailgate’s finicky. A friend in Toronto mentioned the electrical issues too—total pain in the neck! Drove me nuts till fixes!
I’ve heard tons about oil consumption issues with 2015 GMC Sierra models around Texas. A buddy of mine struggled with that big time, and then there’s the tranny acting up on mine in Ontario. Honestly, it’s a real pain. Also, the power outlets acting weird; can’t charge without a fuss. Seems like a rough start for a truck you’d expect to be more reliable. Definitely important to check these things before buying used!
I’ve got a 2015 GMC Sierra in Colorado, and it’s been mostly solid, but the transmission’s been acting up a bit—kinda jerky sometimes. Heard it’s a thing with these models. And I have noticed some folks saying the electrical system glitches more than it should. Oh, and mine needed some work on the water pump after just a few yrs—hearing similar stories from Canada too.
I’ve got a 2015 Sierra here in Texas, and honestly, it’s had its fair share of issues. Electrical glitches were a pain, and the NVH—noises, vibes, harshness—were unexpected. Mechanics swear it’s a common story among owners up north too. Just keep those checklists handy!
I’ve got a 2015 GMC Sierra in Texas, and boy, the transmission is finicky. Galloping hills here make it a real gamble. Had to get a pricey repair early on. Chill if you’re lucky, but the tranny can bite ya big time. Just watch out!
