So my buddy got a 2017 Nissan Sentra sedan and ran into a few issues. First, there’s this annoying electrical glitch where the dashboard lights start flickering. Had to take it in for that. Also, there’s been some trouble with the transmission sometimes hesitating when shifting gears, especially on the highway. Sounds cool but weird, right?
The AC too—fans but won’t cool much. They say it’s the compressor. He’s wondering if anyone else has experienced these problems. And have you guys heard anything about the brakes? Seems fine but I’m curious.
Any other folks with Sentras, got more stories to share? Or maybe solutions?
Driving my 2017 Nissan Sentra in New England was a total ride till the engine light turned on. Oil leakage’s a biggie; I had it checked thrice. The AC’s finicky too—on the fritz for days at a time! Dashboard warning lights popping up like they party every week. But hey, even with its hiccups, gets around town fine. Got plenty of gearheads raving 'bout its fuel efficiency. Overall, decent but a handful of fixes needed.
I’ve got a 2017 Nissan Sentra here in Toronto, and it’s all about battery issues, man. Always freakin’ on me to jump-start it, happens even in the summer. And don’t get me started on CVT jerks – thought I was holding down a gear and then WHOOSH! First-hand, trust me, it’s a pain.
Got a '17 Nissan Sentra in Ohio. Noticed weird noises from transmission several times. Rattling sound, kinda freaks me out. Also, battery’s been dodgy more often. But overall, it handles pretty well on the road. If you’ve got similar stuff going on, maybe check it.
I’ve owned a 2017 Nissan Sentra in Seattle for a couple of years, and there’ve been some annoying issues. The ride’s kinda bumpy on highways, plus the paint started showing scratches real fast. Friends mentioned engine problems, too. Battery drain was a shocker for me; forgot to use my phone charger, and boom, dead car in the afternoon. It’s a cool ride, though, overall!
I’ve owned a 2017 Nissan Sentra in Toronto, and it’s been mostly solid but not without hiccups. Audio system glitches and poor cup holder alignment are a pain. Also, battery has died twice – super annoying. Surprisingly decent gas mileage for a compact, but those minor irritations kinda sprinkle some sand in the gearbox. Overall, still a decent ride though!
I’ve owned a 2017 Nissan Sentra in Ontario, and the infotainment system’s finicky and starts freezing, making it hard. Also, had some oil filter falls off, super annoying! Anyone else with similar issues?
I’ve got a 2017 Nissan Sentra from Vancouver and it’s had its quirks. The A/C’s finicky, either on full blast or dead-to-the-world. The back left headlight burned out quickly – gotta watch that! Recently, battery replaced twice; costly. Also, some rattles in the cabin from mileage. But fuel efficiency’s great, and it handles decently on the highway. Overall, just got to keep an eye on maintenance.
I’ve had a 2017 Nissan Sentra in Canada and ran into a few issues—like the AC acting up and some weird vibrations at higher speeds. Not gonna lie, dealing with the electrical glitches was a bit of a headache. Anyone else experienced the same?
I’ve had a 2017 Nissan Sentra in Toronto for 3 years. Battery dies fast, turbocharger issues, and the brakes need constant checkin’. Decent car but feels more trouble than its worth lately. My buddy’s Sentra had similar probs too. Thoughts?
I’ve owned a '17 Sentra for a year in Calgary, and battery issues pop up a lot around this time of year, froze a couple of times! Also, the CVT can feel floaty, especially in sudden stops. Neighbours say the AC acts up too, always a struggle in hot weather. Still a solid ride but needing some fixes!
Just hang in there with your v6 radio hacks!
Living in Ohio, I’ve got a 2017 Nissan Sentra. The AC kicked it after about a year, had to get it fixed. Then, the electric window actin’ weird like it’s got a mind of its own. One thing for sure, the gas mileage’s solid, which is nice. Hey, if anyone here’s had similar probs or maybe figured a solution, would love to hear it!
I’ve got a 2017 Nissan Sentra in Canada, and I’ve noticed the AC kicks the bucket more than my old fridge. Sometimes it sounds like someone’s trying to start a lawn mower in the front seat—that turbo noise! Had a few oil leak scares too. But it’s mostly solid if you’re not too paranoid about maintenance!
In NYC, I’ve had issues with my 2017 Sentra’s AC—always fixes but still finickity. Battery died on me once in the snow. Also, the ride’s kinda harsh. Anyone else? Worth the hassle?
I’ve seen a few peeps with 2017 Nissan Sentras around Ontario facing brake issues—totally a hassle. Engine lights popping up without warning, too! It’s like the car’s having mood swings. Had a friend who had to replace the battery like thrice in a year. Challenging car, but still runs decently.
I’ve got a 2017 Nissan Sentra in Ontario and man, it’s been a ride. Battery issues outta nowhere, like, a couple times. And don’t get me started on the interior lights flickering like some spooky movie! Had to replace the X-tronic shifter too. But the gas mileage’s legit, keeps me cruising without those pesky fill-ups often. Still holding up though!
I’ve had my ‘17 Nissan Sentra here in Toronto since 2019. Battery prob is annoying as heck, keeps dying on me unexpectedly. Also, the infotainment system can get pretty glitchy—laggy updates n’all. But I’ve seen similar gripes from folks in the US, so it seems common. Keeps the fishin’ money in the bank though! Great gas mileage, totally redeemed.
I’ve had my share of wild rides with the 2017 Nissan Sentra, living way up in Canada. First off, the transmission can be a bit finicky, starting to stutter if you’re gunning it, especially in cold weather. Mine had some issues with the air conditioner not staying cold—but hey, it’s just a sedan, right? Grilled my mechanic on that, and he just shrugged, said it was “normal.” Gotta stay chill though, because of its decent gas mileage. Not the smoothest car on the road, but I keep wheeling it anyways!
I’ve got a '17 Nissan Sentra in TX and dealt with some glitchy infotainment. Radio kept cutting out, and I’ve also heard weird rattling. My buddy up in Ontario had the AC act up, said was like “summer in there!” despite winter here. Ruined my chillin vibes!
I’ve had some issues with my 2017 Nissan Sentra here in Canada. Struggled a lot with the infotainment system freezing up, and the AC isn’t always cooperative in the summer. But aside from those, it’s been a decent, reliable ride overall. Sentra owners, what are your experiences?
