so i got this buddy who had a 2003 BMW 7 Series right. He had a few issues to deal with. First thing he mentioned was the electrical problems. The lights would flicker and sometimes radio would cut out. And backing camera seemed to have a mind of its own and quit working.
then there’s the suspension. it can get pretty noisy when driving over bumps. It’s like riding on a rollercoaster. and he said the brake pads wear out real quick in the winter, maybe cause of the salt on the roads?
He also said something about coolant leaks, had to keep topping it up.
i wonder if anyone else experienced this? i’m thinking about buying one in used condition. maybe you guys can help?
oh and by the way, he also had to replace the cam belt once. it’s a costly car to maintain, but still loves the ride. what do you think?
Caught a Z3 owner griping about his 2003 BMW 7 Series over at Portland. Oil leaks, electrical gremlins, and that cabin filter’s a pain. Man, that warranty expired fast! The techs are swearing they keep their tools handy just for these cars. So much drama!
I’ve actually had my fair share of 2003 BMW 7 Series experiences in Canada. Apart from those kickass seats and smooth rides, it’s notorious for electrical issues—you’d think someone’s tinkering when the dashboard lights flicker. I’ve dealt with exhaust problems too; HATED having to rush to the garage every time it rumbled like a freight train. Oil consumption’s another headache; it totally shakes down the wallet! Still, despite the quirks, it’s a solid joyride when the car’s just being a car.
I’ve owned a 2003 BMW 7 Series here in Canada and lemme tell ya, it was a mixed bag of pleasure and pain. The ride was smooth, no doubt, but electronics issues? A constant headache. From the dashboard lights lighting up like a Christmas tree, to the infamous suspension sagging within a year, it was one helluva headache. Yet, the steering always felt more like I was in a movie than a car, which kinda made it all worth it. That engine roar, though, pure bliss.
I’ve got a buddy in Toronto whose 2003 BMW 7 Series had issues with that pesky electrical system. I have seen headlights and wipers actin’ up like crazy. Also, I ve heard big problems with the injectors and side mirrors are often adrift on the flip. Yeah, that model can pack a few tricks
!
I’ve had my share of troubles with my '03 BMW 7 Series here in Canada. Known issues? Frequent electrical glitches and the suspension giving me grief. Had to replace the rear brake lines too. Not what I expect from such a luxury ride, but manageable! Familiar problems for sure.
I’ve owned a 2003 BMW 7 Series in Canada, and the common issues are a real bummer. First off, the electronic suspension can lock up or keep hunters pumping gas unnecessarily, not cool at all. Plus, the engine light pops on like nobody’s biz without a clear reason, drives you mad safari-style every time!
I’ve had a couple of issues myself with my 2003 BMW 7 Series up here in Canada. The usual suspects like the fuel pump and suspension issues griped me plenty. But the ride is smooth once you key in around those quirks. And don’t get me started on the sticky blower motor control. Anyone else had to deal with that headache?
I’ve got a 2003 BMW 7 Series here in Canada and it’s mostly been solid, but the power steering can go kaput from time to time—like it just loses its mind suddenly. And don’t get me started on the A/C. It stops working out of the blue and boy, was it awkward in the summer. Anyone else got these issues? It’s like it just loves playing mind games on us.
I’ve got a '03 BMW 7 Series out here in SoCal, and boy, it’s hit a few snags. Electrical gremlins are driving me nuts, especially with the gauges flickering. Plus, the transmission sometimes feels like it’s about to throw in the towel! Anyone else deal with this stuff? These rides are smooth but quirky!
Driving my 2003 BMW 7 Series in Canada, I noticed some issues common with this model. First off, the electronics can be glitchy—my infotainment system turned into a brain teaser on some days. And those fuel injectors aren’t exactly fans of reliability. But hey, a classic ride needs a love-fest every now and again, right? Keep her clean and shiny, folks!
I’ve got a ‘03 7 Series here in Canada, and man, the electrical gremlins are a nightmare. Dash lights flickerin’, like they got a mind of their own, and the A/C sometimes refuses to kick in! But man, once it’s drivin’, feels like glidin’. Had to replace the EGR valve too, so the idle’s smooth again. Makes you miss the hum of a well-oiled beast!
I’ve had a 2003 BMW 7 Series in Tennessee and boy, let me tell ya, the electronic systems can be a real pain! Dashboard lights will go wild like it’s a disco! My buddy up in Canada says the EGR valve is a notorious troublemaker. Honestly, keep your mechanics on speed dial! It’s worth the premium, but don’t expect it to be hassle-free.
Got a 2003 BMW 7 Series in Florida. It was a beast, but had its quirks. I’ve been dealing with alternator issues and some electrical gremlins since day one. The rear climate control’s temperamental too. Great car to show off in, though. Had to drop a fair bit on maintenance, but love the ride! Anyone else had similar probs?
I’ve got a '03 BMW 7 Series up in Cali, and let me tell ya, those coolant leaks drive me nuts. Also, the fuel pump’s been acting up more than a skittish cat. I heard a buddy in Toronto had his door locks go haywire too. It’s a bit of a a head-scratcher, but hey, it’s still a smooth ride.
I’ve owned a couple of '03 7 Series in BC and noticed a few gripes. Suspension felt rough as heck, and electronics were a nightmare sometimes. Battery issues too – constant headaches. But still, cruising in style! Good luck if you bite.
I’ve got a 2003 BMW 7 Series up in Canada, and I’ll say the cooling system issues are a real pain. It’s like every summer it conks out. And the suspension feels tired too, especially after driving on those rough roads. Ever noticed the bumps? Talk about a wake-up call!
I’ve owned a '03 BMW 7 Series for years in Canada, and boy, does it have its quirks! The electronic control units can glitch big time – sitting at the light with the wipers going nuts freaks me out. Then there’s the oil leaks; seems like a regular party in the engine bay. Engine overheating’s another headache, even had my buddy’s handy but no real fix. Still, smooth ride and purrs to drive, def. car’s classy vibe. Keep those oil pans dry, folks!
I’ve got a couple issues with my 2003 BMW 7 Series here in Toronto. First off, electrical glitches are a pain—lights flicker often, and the radio acts up. Plus, the ABS warning is super annoying! Gotta love driving a massive ol’ luxury ride, but maintenance isn’t cheap, that’s for sure. Always something!
I’ve had my share of issues with my '03 BMW 7 Series here in Canada. The V8’s power’s sweet but the transmission’s been a headache—lots of slipping and odd noises. Suspension’s also finicky; one lazy bump caught it red-handed. Interior leather’s all cracked too, but for a cruiser, it’s still killer. You do get what ya pay for, right? Glad it’s unique compared to the usual suspects.
