so i’ve had my 09 vw tiguan for a few years now and there’s a few things that drive me nuts. first, the transmission acts up sometimes. shifting feels off you know? my buddy had the same issue, took it to the shop a bunch. also, my AC decided to stop working once but came back after a restart. fuel injectors have a problem too. wasn’t that bad at first, but now it’s more like a chore. anyone else feel the same? weird noises on rough roads too. anyone have thoughts on that or fixed it yet?
I’ve had my '09 VW Tiguan in Seattle for a few years. Noticed the timing belt tends to go kaput earlier than expected & the A/C makes a spooky whirring sound at times. Had folks mention transmission issues too, weird how that happens out of nowhere. Driving’s mostly chill tho—enjoyed it surprisingly!

I’ve gotta say, my Tiguan from '09 kept me on my toes. I’ve been driving it around Chicago, and the transmission started acting all sorts of crazy after a couple years. Also, the oil light keeps flickering, even when everything else seems fine. Oddly enough, compared to other VW models, it runs smooth otherwise. Just got the fluids checked super often – it’s like a sticky tattoo on my calendar now. It’s a piece of work but still my favorite. Keeps me guessing!
