What are common issues with the 09 Nissan Maxima model?

Had some issues with my 09 Nissan Maxima. The AC’s been acting up, feels like it’s barely working on hot days. Anyone know if that’s just me? Another thing, the fuel efficiency dropped. And the check engine light flashes sometimes, hit me out of nowhere. And it’s kind of weird, but sometimes the power seems weaker. Had it in the shop twice for engine trouble. Anyone else had these probs or got any fixes?

Oh, one more thing, the exhaust smells funny sometimes. And the brakes squeak a bit. Wonder if they should replace them? And does anyone know where to find good deals on parts?

I’ve been drivin a 09 Nissan Maxima up in Canada and gotta say, the transmission issues are no joke. It’s been shifty and sometimes hesitates, like it’s not on the same page as me. Also, the AC kicks the bucket around late summer. Not a fan of that at all! Heard similar stories from some east coast folks too. Nissan could really step it up with those fixes, eh?

I’ve got a '09 Maxima here in Toronto and the transmission’s been a real pain. My buddy’s down in Florida always had to deal with the fuel gauge acting up. Both of us thought it would be smoother than it is. Talk about mixed experiences with this ride!

Back in New York, my 2009 Nissan Maxima started acting up around 60k miles. I’ve had issues with the AC compressor acting funky, and the dashboard lights would flicker like crazy. Some peeps also mentioned the shifter feelin’ weird, almost as if it’s not properly connecting. Had to replace the battery too—it kept dying outta nowhere. Overall, not a bad car, but definitely keep an eye on the small stuff!

I’ve owned a '09 Nissan Maxima in Canada and had some annoying vibes with it. The transmission sometimes slips like mad, and the ABS light keeps flickering on. Also, my friend’s car had issues with the AC not blowing cold. Just some quirks to watch out for! It’s probably great for others without these probs.

I’ve got a '09 Maxima up north in Canada, ran into some annoying issues. Random battery drain keeps happening; could’ve sworn I charged it! The AC also seems to wanna give up on me in mid-summer—what a bummer! Tires might need checking too, felt some strange vibrations. Anyone else? :smirk:

I’ve owned a '09 Nissan Maxima in Toronto, and I’ve noticed a few quirks. The AC always has issues, and I hear the power steering can go kaput if you’re not careful. Suspension noises aren’t too rare either. But overall, it’s a solid ride! Anyone else deal with this stuff?

I’ve got a ‘09 Maxima in Vancouver, Canada—common issues are leaking air cons & finicky electronics. The tranny can be tricky, too. Mind driving over to my garage for some tips? Chillin’ with my buddy Max there.

I’ve got a 2009 Maxima here in Texas and always run into battery issues. People say engine problem, too. It ain’t the smooth ride they advertise, but I’m keeping it. Fixes take time.

I’ve got this '09 Maxima from Canada and man, it’s been a journey. The brakes wear out super quick, like, every six months, it’s nuts! Also, the A/C has been hacking up a lung, not blowing cool air in the summer — quite a bummer! Anyone else here facing the same stuff? Always curious if it’s just my Maxima being finicky.

I had an '09 Nissan Maxima up till last year. Living in Toronto, I noticed a few things. The AC broke down once, gotta leave the windows down all summer. Also, sometimes the dashboard lights up like a Christmas tree, but works fine afterwards. Heard from some friends in the US, they say the brakes can get squeaky. Overall, decent car but these headaches can be annoying. Just make sure you catch 'em early. Keep an eye on the oil level too – dripped once bad too!

I’ve driven my ‘09 Maxima in Canada and it got electrical glitches that drive me nuts. Apparently, battery probs and AC issues are common. Anyone else drown in springtime puddles? LOL. Always swapping out car parts to keep it roarin’. It’s like a puzzle - keep changin’ bits and bobs, but it’s still a beast on the highway. Good thing it’s got that solid bangin’ sound when you step on the gas though!

I’ve had a 2009 Nissan Maxima in Canada, and it’s been solid with some issues—oil leaks were a pain, and the AC went out. Everyone’s been dealing with same probs, but it still cruises decently enough. Trust me, a good mechanic’s key.

In Denver, my '09 Maxima’s AC went out in summer. Then, I’ve had exhaust issues and a finicky idle. Just frustrating, but still a great drive when it’s all working!

I’ve had my '09 Maxima in Texas for years, and it’s mostly solid. Had some issues with the brakes feeling a bit spongy tho, and the AC gave out once. Battery replacements too often, but it cruises smooth otherwise. Anyone else faced the same probs?

I’ve got this '09 Maxima in Seattle, and she’s been a real ride. Engine sometimes acts up, shudders mostly at lower RPMs, driving me nuts. Brake noise too—classic issues people talk about. Seen lots of folks say the same stuff in my area, rough around the edges but reliable otherwise.

I’ve owned a '09 Nissan Maxima in Canada, and the rear A/C’s gone kaput on me. Friends too, facing timing belt drama. Always some maintenance hiccups with it, but still love the ride. Trust me, never a luxury car

I’ve been drivin’ my ‘09 Maxima in Toronto an’ noticed the ABS light goes on-off sometimes, hear it’s a common glitch. Plus, the AC acts up in summer, known issue in the States too. Not the best reliability! But still, gotta love that turbo!

Personally, I’ve seen a bunch of '09 Maximas in Texas deal with powertrain stuff and suspension issues. Midlife for this baby often means random engine light drama. Dealer visits get expensive fast, but toughen up! Others here have probably felt the same – let’s share those stories!
