What are common issues with a 1990 Acura model?

Alright so I got this 90 Acura Integra and lemme tell ya, it’s been a ride! First thing, Ive noticed the electrical system is a mess. Lights flickering like crazy :upside_down_face:. Replaced some fuses and wires but it keeps happening. Any idea why that could be, or any parts that definitely need swapping out?

And, the cooling system is another issue. Radiators keep clogging up. Had to clean and flush it a couple times already. Is there a better radiator I should look into?

Also, the suspension feels a bit wonky, especially when I hit rough roads. I think the struts might be worn out. Any recommended brands?

And the clutch goes bad every blue moon. Just got it replaced, but you know how these things go. Have you had to fix that too? How often should I be checking it?

I know these cars have a rep for being solid, but man, these years take a toll. Any tips or tricks to keep it running smooth, would be appreciated.

I’ve encountered rust issues with my '90 Acura Integra on the roads in Toronto. Brake squeaks and transmission slips were common too, aren’t they pretty universals for this model? Had a blast fixing them but headaches nonetheless! Can relate to anyone frustrated by these old cars.

Back in ‘98 I got this old 1990 Acura Integra in Toronto and man, it had some quirks! Electrical gremlins, especially with the radio acts up, and the AC stopped blowin’ chill air after some years. Had to replace the struts too, but it’s mostly bulletproof. Worth it for that ride though!

I’ve had a ‘90 Acura Integra back in Canada—classic ride. The radiator’s temperamental, always drippin’, and the clutch started actin’ up after a couple years. Headlight alignment’s always off, too. It’s like it’s got a mind of its own, but the engine rips when it runs. Honestly, it’s a piece of history on wheels, despite all the snags. Good luck fixin’ 'em all!

I’ve got a '90 Acura Integra and man, spare tires were a major hassle in Texas heat. Always seemed to need new brake pads way too soon, and the AC struggled like mad during that summer. My buddy up in Canada said his Integra’s electricals acted up, flickering like a disco, more often than not. But you know, that purr is worth it! It’s like, buggy but a beauty! Different strokes, I guess.

I’ve got this '90 Acura Legend, right? Living in Toronto, these old beauties can be real divas. The paint starts peeling after a while, and the weather shifts ain’t kind. Had to fix the AC more times than I care to, plus the fuel gauge acting like it’s got a mind of its own. But hey, cruising with those V6 rumblings makes it worth the hassle. Anyone else had more gremlins?

I’ve got a '90 Acura SLX up in Seattle and the infamous shifting issue’s always a pain. Head gaskets too, almost had a meltdown last winter. But cruising down the I-5, it’s still a dream. Everyone’s always got something to say 'bout reliability, racks and pinion’s solid though!

Back in '98, I owned a '90 Acura in Detroit. These beauties, they start great but had some quirky issues. Often had problems with the fuel lines snapping, and the wiring seemed dodgy, giving random electrical quirks. Beat up well, tho. Just remember to keep em maintenance’d. The ride’s smooth, but it’s a bit temperamental. If you can handle it, well worth the love.

I’ve had my own 90’s Acura 2-door here in Canada, love it but, dang, the electrical system’s a mess. Always some fuse blowing and battery dying. However, the ride’s smooth and bangin’, no doubt!

Back in '99, I had a ‘90 Acura Legend in Ottawa. Trust, those electrics were dodgy; dash lights flickered like a disco. Lokn’ updealerships and DIY fixes! Engine rough coughing after 100k. So many people were like, “is this normal?” but yeah, and let’s not start on the leaks. Nightmarish but addictive, fam. You gotta love these classics though; sure, they test your patience!

I had a '90 Acura in Seattle, had issues with the AC and elec windows sometime. Heard lotsa folks whine 'bout the power steering vibe too. Love the style tho! Pretty smooth ride tho, just a lil fussy now n then. Keep it up 'cuz they rock!

I’ve had a 1990 Acura Integra in Southern California. Engine problems are frequent—especially with the timing belt. Electrical issues are nightmare, like car won’t start outta nowhere. But damn, once it’s running, drives like it’s effortlessly cruising. Just gotta keep up maintenance regular. Tyre wear seems excessive too; change them so often! Overall, characterful, but a handful.

I’ve got an old ‘90 Acura Integra in the States and let me tell ya, it’s been nothin’ short of a wrench-fest! Had to deal with the infamous fuel pump troubles—like, half the time it acts up just when I’m in a jam. Electrical gremlins too—lights flickerin’ like a Christmas tree. But man, once sorted, it’s purrin’ like a kitten most days. Anyone else got similar stories?

I’ve owned two '90 Acuras in SoCal; engine trouble’s a biggie, plus electrical gremlins under the hood. DEALER ain’t cheap either! But dub it rolling classic – it keeps ya cruising with style! :red_car::dash:

Back in '95 in Boston, I had this '94 Acura Integra. The power window motors always went kaput, plus the engine light—super annoying! But those ride’s felt smooth, electric. Every auto repair shop knew 'em like the back of their hand. Guess they were cheap wins at the time.

Back in '95 in Ontario, I had a '90 Acura and would say the electrical issues are a pain—lights out in the walls and wonky gauges. Brakes were fussy too. But dang, that V6 sounded sweet though! Managed to patch her up most weekends. Maintenance was a hustle.

I’ve got this '90 Acura in Cali, and it’s been a wild ride. Nostril plugs wear out super quick, gotta keep an eye on the water pump too. The Brakes can go funny on ya sometimes. Had to swap out the transmission once, ain’t fun cheap either. But, man, it handles like it’s still racing on the track! Some quirks but holds up if you baby the ole beast. All about the classics for me! :upside_down_face:

I’ve owned a '90 Acura Legend in Ohio, and rust’s a biggie especially around the undercarriage and wheel wells. Engine reliability’s usually solid, but the timing belt’s notorious for slipping if not swapped JUST right. Mechanically, it’s a gem but needs regular checks, trust me. The ride’s smooth, looks classic too, if you can deal with maintenance hiccups!
