Is installing a cold air intake on Civic 11th gen worth it?

so, I was chillin one day, scrolling through forums, and thought, why not try a cold air intake on my Civic. I mean, my buddy said it would bring some extra horsepower, and who doesn’t wanna feel like they’re in a race car, right? I installed it, and wow, the sound was sick. But, did I really feel a huge difference in speed? Maybe a little, but I think it was mostly my imagination.

And then there’s the gas mileage thing. I swear it got a bit better, but I could just be wishful thinking. But honestly, I’ve been told cold air intakes can sometimes throw off the engine tuning, so that’s something to think about. Did anyone else experience that?

All in all, I’d say it’s a fun mod if you want that growl and some slight gains, but don’t expect to turn your Civic into

I ve had my 11th gen Civic in Toronto and added a cold air intake last summer. honestly felt a nice boost in sound and performance but don’t expect crazy gains.

worth it if you like the raw noise but not a miracle mod. fun to tinker with though

Living in California helps with the temperature too. The sound is kinda nice as well. Just don’t expect a miracle or anything. A decent mod if you’re into it.

definitely made it feel peppier though so I guess its kind of worth it

Ive been rockin a cold air intake on my Civic 11th gen up here in Canada and honestly it’s a mixed bag. Sure its got some nice sounds and maybe a little more pep but the mpg kinda dipped a bit. I dunno like is that really worth it for a tiny boost? I could’ve put that cash towards new tires instead. You do you but I’m not convinced.

Living in Canada I’ve installed a cold air intake on my Civic and the sound is just incredible. I ve noticed a slight boost in throttle response too. Worth it if you want to feel more engaged while driving.

I’ve got a 2022 Civic and was super tempted to throw a cold air intake on it since I’ve heard all the hype. I live in California and honestly couldn’t tell much difference in power. The sound is kinda cool but I felt like it’s more of a show thing. Not sure if I’d say it’s worth it over the long run.
