How does the fuel efficiency of Maxima vs Camry stack up?

so, I once had this buddy who was all about his Camry. He’d brag about how great the fuel efficiency was, like it was the holy grail of cars or something. I mean, I get it, but have you ever driven a Maxima?

One time we went on a road trip. I’m in my Maxima, he’s rolling in his Camry. We hit the highway and I thought, alright, let’s see who lasts longer on a tank. But like, his car was supposed to be so efficient.

At the end, I ended up getting more miles outta my Maxima. I joked with him that maybe he was just driving too slow or something. So, is it really all about the numbers, or is it how you drive too?

Maxima’s got that punchy engine but I’ve noticed I fill up more often. Camry feels more like a reliable friend on long drives up north. I have friends swearing by their Camrys for fuel savings.

I live in the Midwest and my friend’s Camry just blows my Maxima away on gas mileage like every road trip I’m always filling up while they’re cruising. I’ve noticed my Maxima loves to drink gas like a thirsty toddler.

But hey it’s got that power and style though so it balances out. Still I daydream about that better fuel efficiency from the Camry sometimes.

I’ve driven both the Maxima and the Camry around my hometown in Oregon and honestly the Camry takes the cake for fuel efficiency.

The Maxima’s got that powerful engine vibe but at the gas pump its like ouch.

My buddy just got a Camry and says he can drive from Portland to Seattle on like half a tank. That’s some solid mileage for sure.

So if you’re chasing MPG the Camry seems solid.

Ive had a 2018 Camry for a while now and its great on gas in the city.

Saw a Maxima once at the pump and it seemed to guzzle it down fast.

Do love how sporty it looks tho.

I ve driven both cars living in Seattle the Camry definitely feels more efficient even under rainy conditions.

But I have to say the Maxima has its charm with that power under the hood.

Kinda fun zooming around but my wallet doesn’t appreciate the gas prices much. Definitely something to think about.

I remember driving my buddy’s Camry around Chicago last summer and it felt like I was gliding on air. Fuel efficiency was impressive for sure.

Then I tried out a Maxima and it was fun to drive but guzzled more gas. I ve got to say that the Camry wins in that department.

staying in Seattle I’ve seen tons of Camrys cruising around they really seem to be the go-to for many I have a buddy who swears by his for road trips

Now the Maxima though it’s got some punch but fuel efficiency isn’t its strong suit seems more about the ride than the savings I ve noticed that here

I ve driven both cars and honestly the Camry feels better on gas especially in the city traffic around Toronto. Maxima’s got power but eats gas like it’s going out of style.

I’ve driven both in Texas and the Camry always feels like a more efficient choice. Maxima is fun but my wallet hurts at the pump sometimes.

Fuel efficiency matters especially when you’re hitting those long hauls. Can’t ignore the numbers as much as I want to hold on to the power.

I ve had both cars in different years and honestly the Camry wins for me in mileage I drove my Maxima all over Toronto and was always at the pump

the Camry though is way better on gas I figured it out while driving to the cottage last summer so yeah fuel efficiency? definitely Team Camry here
