How do I lower my 14th gen f150 safely and effectively?
so i got my f150 a few months ago, and man, the ride height is like a monster truck in my driveway. last week, i tried to park it in my garage, and i swear it was like trying to fit an elephant into a clown car. so i thought, why not lower it a bit?
i looked into some drop kits online but got lost in the sea of options. And then i found some guy on YouTube who showed how to do it with just a wrench and some patience. but he also made it look like a walk in the park, and i’m not exactly a mechanic.
what’s the best way to lower it without turning it into a brick? i wanna keep it safe and not ruin my ride quality. did anyone else do this themselves? i mean, can you really do it without messing something up?
Just did a drop on my F150 last month in Michigan and wow what a difference. I’ve used lowering shackles and some coil springs.
It’s all about finding that balance between looking good and keeping it safe on the roads. I’ve seen some nightmare setups too.
I’ve been thinking about lowering my F150 too I’m in Texas and the roads are wild

I’ve lowered my F150 down here in Texas and it really changed the ride. It was a bit nerve-wracking though since I didn’t want to mess anything up.
I have heard that the right kit can make all the difference. Make sure to check local laws too cause sometimes the cops have a field day with lowered trucks. Just be careful coming in and out of driveways.
Lowering my F150 was a bit wild I mean I loved that truck but it felt like a monster on those springs.
I ve heard about using lowering kits but heard you gotta watch out for your alignment after.
Took me some time to figure it out here in Texas but worth it for that smooth ride.

So I have a 14th gen F150 and I tried lowering it myself last summer in my garage in Ohio.
Wasn’t easy but I ve seen some good results. Just make sure to check the alignment after or you’ll be going sideways at 60 on the highway.
Kinda risky but worth it.
I ve lowered my F150 before and honestly it was a pain in the rear end too many parts to deal with but it looks sick afterwards. Just be careful with alignment though
In Houston it rains a lot and I swear the first time I hit a bump I was like uh oh.
Lowering my 14th gen f150 was a wild ride honestly. I live in Texas and always wanted it to sit a bit lower for better handling. I ve read about air suspension kits but they seem pricey.
I have a buddy who used drop shackles and it seemed to work fine for him. Just make sure to check alignment after. Gotta keep things safe on those roads.
Lowering my 14th gen F150 was wild I’ve done it without sacrificing ride quality. In the Midwest I’ve gone with some quality drop shackles and spacers which gave me a nice stance while keeping the truck balanced.
Be careful though I messed up once and hit a pothole the thrill was real but the repair bills weren’t. Just make sure you do it right.

I’ve looked at some options but it can get pricey and I’ve seen some folks go DIY which looks a bit sketchy. Just gotta keep it balanced with the ride quality.
