so i figured out how to replace the battery in my mercedes key myself it wasn’t too hard but took a bit of patience. first off, you’ll need a small screwdriver and a new battery. pop open the key cover on the side, and you’ll see a little screw. i think it’s a torx or something like that. get it out but be careful not to lose it. once you do, the key cover should come off easily.
now you’re gonna see the battery. check if the plastic cover over the battery is glued or has a little snipped corner. if it’s glued, i used a tiny prying tool to lift it off. slip the new battery in and put the cover back. seemed easier than i thought. did you find a good place to get parts that’s not too expensive? it’s pretty simple but yeah, i messed up a bit on my first try. so take it slow. and try not to strip the screw like i did the first time
