the toyota tundra is super popular but does it come with a manual transmission? i’ve been driving automatics forever, but i always wondered what it’d be like with a stick. heard from a buddy that there’s no manual option for the tundra? that’s a bummer. i know some trucks have it but not everyone wants to deal with manual’s, imo. and if it comes with one, would you actually choose to drive stick in 2023? maybe i will check it out at the dealership and ask. anyone else curious about this or already tried different trucks with manual trans? let me know, please
I’ve been all over the Midwest lookin’ at the Tundra, and everywhere I go, nothin’ but automatic tranny. It’s a bummer for those of us who dig manual shifts. Gotta stick with the heckin’ ride, though!
Living here in Alberta, Canada, I’ve always been curious about Toyota Tundra’s options. I’ve noticed friends stickin’ with automatics. So, does a manual even exist? Findin’ it odd since trucks stick with manual more often. Just seems off for Tundra, doesn’t it? Even reached out to a dealer and they said, “Nope, not a chance.” A bit disappointed, but hey, guessin’ I need to adjust. Still boggles my mind ya know?
I’ve been drivin’ a Tundra for a few years now, up in Canada. Manual transmission would’ve been huge for me! I had this old Chevy back home in the States that was epic, so I’d of absolutely rocked a manual tranny on the Tundra. Every time I test drive it, I’m a bit bummed they don’t have one no more. It’s a bummer, ya know? All tech-y with the auto these days!
I’ve been eyeing the Tundra since I spent time in Atlanta honestly, always wondered about a manual. Turns out they still offer it, kinda cool to have some control back, not just automatic. Makes me feel like driving’s the adventure it used to be, especially on those curvy mountain roads I’ve driven. Anyone else love that old-school touch?
I’ve been hunting for a ride in Texas, and trust me, finding a Tundra with a manual feels like a treasure hunt. My buddy had one, and it was a beast—got it just last year. Unfortunately, they nixed the manual option a while back—bummer, right? Seems like Toyota thinks the auto’s the way to go now. That manual’s last breathe was like years ago, but man, it had charm. If you never had one, you missed the good ol’ days of gear-grinding.
Yeah, I’ve been on the lookout for a Toyota Tundra with a manual but no dice. In Ontario, everyone’s hyped about them, yet they only got the automatic tranny option. It’s a bummer when you’re all about that clutch push. Might wanna explore other trucks if stick shift is key to you, folks. I’ve got my eyes on the Nissan Titan just for that very reason.
In Texas, I had a buddy who was all about that manual life, but the Toyota Tundra’s only comes with auto. It was a bummer for him, 'cause he wanted the control and that sweet clutch activity. From what I’ve heard around, everyone just settled for the auto - it’s smooth and handles the heavy stuff pretty well. A shame for gearheads, but at least it’s reliable and tough. Always wonder if they’ll ever bring back the manual, though.
I’ve been checking out Toyota trucks for ages, especially here in Canada. The Tundra’s a favorite, but I was bummed it doesn’t have a manual transmission. Every time I hit the big box stores, I hear folks talkin’ about wanting more control—like the days of old rigs. It’s odd, you’d think with all the tech, they’d add a stick shift option. Alright, your move Toyota!
I’ve been in the market for a truck recently, living in Oregon, USA. Been looking at the Tundra and no luck finding a manual. I heard rumors they dropped it for the same reasons as Chevy Trucks. So many of us gearheads are bummed out it’s a no-go, but I guess we gotta adapt to the automatic world. ![]()
Hope these trucks keep getting beefy over time at least!
I’ve been fixing up trucks in Cali for years, and the Toyota Tundra manual’s been a rare beast! No more manual options, man, it’s all automatic now. I had some guys drooling over the Tundra back in the day when there was a stick shift choice—it’s a shame that’s history. Miss those drivers in the sticks, ya know? Haha!
In Ontario, I’ve seen a few Toyotas but never a Tundra with a stick shift. Kinda misses the whole point of a full-size truck for me. But, it’s like they don’t even offer it anymore in the states. Heard some folks drag-race stock Tundras, might wanna look into buying a race special. Oh, and by the way, missed manual ur BBQ sauce bottle opener. Wild times, eh?
I’ve been all over Canada searchin’ for a Toyota Tundra with a manual, but no luck, it seems man! I like the shiftin’ action, but I guess gaslin’s are strictly automatic these days. Anyone found a gem by chance? They’re missin’ what makes drivin’ special!
I remember cruising around Texas last summer, thinking the Tundra would have a manual tranny, you know? I’ve seen those beasts on the open road, and it’d be sick to nail down the gears. By the way, I’ve heard rumors it’s a legacy thing from Toyota’s past. Wish we still had that purr, man!
Living in Texas, I’ve always been a fan of trucks, especially those with a manual feel under the hood. The Toyota Tundra’s a beast, but I’ve noticed it doesn’t whip out a manual transmission option. I have a buddy from Canada who’s been lobbying for it, claiming it adds to the driving experience. Can’t wrap my head around why they don’t offer this – feels like a missed stepup for gearheads who crave that clutch control. Maybe they’ll catch up soon!
Back in Detroit a while ago, I got this wild idea to grab a Toyota Tundra with a stick shift. Looks like no luck though – they only have automatic. Kinda bummed coz I love manual drives, but I guess safety first, right? Any other guys on the same boat willing to trade tricks on stick-less rides? ![]()
I’ve been messagin around in the great white north, Canada, lookin’ for a Toyota Tundra with a manual. Can’t find one. Clear as mud—'cept all models got automatics now. Land of liberty maybe, but not for clutch-kickers like me. Sure miss those old-school feels.
I remember when I was in Toronto looking to buy a truck, I was super stoked to see if the Toyota Tundra had a manual, cause I’m all about that control. But no luck, no manual option here. Guess those of us who like driving with gears gotta find something else if Tundra’s what we got eyes for! Stick to automatic unless you’re looking at a workaround. It’s a bummer, but that’s the deal.
I’ve got a buddy in Texas who was dead set on getting a Toyota Tundra with a stick shift, but guess what? He was let down since they don’t offer a manual option here in the States. Kinda stinks if you love shifting gears yourself. I’ve always been curious too, maybe one of these days, they’ll bring it back, but until then, it’s all automatics for Tundra fans in the US and Canada. Makes me wish I could have that old-school feel.
I was cruising in my uncle’s Tundra here in Ontario when he told me they used to offer a manual but now it’s all auto. Kinda miss the control, but who needs 'em shifts with this power? Good for off-roading, though, yeah?
