Are there specific brands of flat beds for F150 old truck?

so last summer, I decided to give my old F150 a makeover. thought it would be easy but, man, picking a flat bed was like choosing a favorite child. I ended up spending hours online, looking at all kinds of brands. I tried to find the best one but my brain was fried halfway through.

I came across brands like CM and Reading, but then I saw this one called Duramax that seemed cool too. But does anyone even know if one is better than the other? I mean, I don’t wanna buy something that’ll fall apart the first time I haul something heavy, right?

Also, has anyone had experiences with installing these things? I’m no mechanic, and it seems like rocket science to me. Just trying to make my truck as tough as it used to be when it could barely fit in the garage. What do you think?

I’ve got an old F150 from '98 and I’ve been hunting for a flat bed forever. I found a couple of brands that seem decent but man it’s tough out here in Ontario.

Some people swear by CM or Norstar. Prices can be all over the place too.

I used to have a 90s F150 and needed a flat bed for it. Ended up going with a reliable company called CM Truck Beds. It fit nicely and the quality was solid. I’m in Ohio so we have our fair share of rust which made me nervous but it held up great.

I’ve seen some folks rave about the Bradford Built beds too. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into a heavier style.

I’ve been searching for flat beds for my old F150 here in Texas always loved those classic rides. There’s a few brands like CM and Reading that seem popular but man they can be pricey. I’ve thought about going custom too but that’s a whole different ball game. It’s tough trying to balance quality and budget

I ve had an old F150 for years love it in the backwoods of Montana. I’ve seen BAK and Lund flat beds that looked solid. It’s kinda hard to find specific brands sometimes but worth the hunt I guess.

I have seen mixed reviews but honestly with a truck that’s been with me 15 years nothing else feels right.

The customization options are wild though I ve gotta admit it’s tempting. Might just splurge.

I’ve got a 2000 F150 and finding a good flat bed is like hunting for gold. I saw some neat beds at a local shop in Michigan last summer. There’s definitely some brands out there but nothing feels right for my old truck yet.

I’ve heard that reading reviews helps too but most of them seem sketchy. Just want something that’ll last not too much to ask for I think.

Ive been tinkering with my 2003 F150 for a while now and finding the right flatbed was tricky. Was in a junkyard in California and saw a few brands lying around maybe like that Ranch Hand or something.

Kinda pricey but man they can take a beating.

Havent decided on one yet still looking but its a fun project. Always love seeing the old trucks transformed with those beds.

I’ve had my old F150 for years now and I gotta say finding the right flat bed has been a bit of a pain. Here in Canada the options seem kinda limited unless you hit up the smaller local shops.

Might wanna consider brands like CM or Reading if you’re in the States though. They seem to have decent fits but man some of the prices are wild. My buddy got one and said installation was a nightmare. But look it looks good now.

I had to do some serious digging on forums to even find options that fit so I guess it depends on what you need. Old trucks can be a pain but worth it in the end.
