Whos faster mazda 3 or honda civic in a drag race?

so, i recently had a drag race with my buddy who has a honda civic. now, I drive a mazda 3, and i thought I had the edge. But man, those civics are quick. we lined up at a stoplight, and when it turned green, it was like a scene outta a movie.

i got off to a good start, but then my friend shifted gears like a champ and zoomed past me. it was kinda brutal watching him go, but i couldn’t help but laugh at the whole thing.

so, like, is the mazda 3 just a wannabe? or does it have hidden speed secrets? i kinda think civic is the winner here, but it’s all about the driver too, right? what do you guys think?

drove my buddies mazda 3 last summer in a rainy parking lot in canada and man that thing had some get up and go. now my cousin has a honda civic and we always talk about that drag race. honestly they both have their perks but I feel like the mazda edges out just a bit in acceleration.

civics are good too but the handling in the mazda is just fun.

at a local drag strip in California I’ve seen some intense races between the mazda 3 and honda civic the civic usually takes the edge off the line but the mazda holds its own too.

I ve seen a few drag races near my place in Michigan and honestly the Mazda 3 surprised me with its speed.

It was keeping up with some serious competitors while the Civic was good too but just felt a bit sluggish off the line.

Mazda’s got that pep that really kicks in when you need it.

I’ve seen some drag races in Toronto and honestly both cars have their own charm. But if we’re talking raw speed I think the Mazda 3 edges out. It’s nimble and light which helps in short sprints. The Civic is solid no doubt but just feels heavier.

I did see a Mazda 3 smoke a Civic at a local drag spot in Texas once. That thing took off like a rocket.

But then again I’ve seen Civics surprise with insane tuning. It’s really about driver skill too.

I remember racing my friend’s Honda Civic in Toronto once it was a close call but I think the Mazda 3 edged it out just a bit

I ve driven both and honestly it feels like the Civic has a bit more pep but the Mazda looks cooler in my opinion

I’ve seen a Mazda 3 take off like a rocket at a drag strip in Toronto

But man that Honda Civic was right on its tail

I’ve seen both cars race at a local event in Chicago and honestly it was a close call. Mazda 3 has that quick start but Honda Civic kept up pretty well in the end. Pretty exciting to watch.

i raced my buddy’s honda civic down by the river in cali last summer and it was a close one he was quick but my mazda 3 had that killer launch and pulled ahead i got the bragging rights but it’s all in good fun.

people forget it’s not just about the speed though its about the whole package they both handle great but i think the civic edges out in the turns.

I ve seen both cars go at it on the streets of Toronto and honestly the Mazda 3 surprised me with its quick launch off the line.

but then there’s the Civic which has a solid reputation for pulling strong on the top end.

I guess it really comes down to what model year you’re comparing because the newer Civics seem to keep getting quicker while the Mazdas just look stylish while moving.

crazy stuff.

I ve always found that the Mazda 3 has a snappier takeoff compared to the Civic I raced my friend in Ontario and the 3 gave that little extra burst at the start but the Civic catches up in the longer stretch Ive got to admit they’re both quick though

So I remember one time at a strip in California my buddy had a Mazda 3 and I had my Honda Civic. We decided to race just for kicks. Honestly I’d say it was close but the Mazda had a bit more zing off the line.

But then again we also had different mods so maybe not super fair. Good times tho.

So I’ve raced both in my buddy’s car up in Canada and honestly it was pretty wild. The Mazda 3 had a bit of a pep to it but the Civic just felt more solid on the start. I think in a straight drag race the Civic might edge out the Mazda depending on the driver. It’s like they have their own vibe you know.

I’ve raced a Mazda 3 and a Honda Civic back in Detroit and that was a wild ride. The Mazda felt light and quick off the line while the Civic had that solid pull especially after the first gear. It honestly depends on the driver too.

I’ve raced my friend’s Mazda 3 a few times down in Florida and honestly it was close but I felt like the Honda Civic had that little edge. The handling made a difference on the turns too

Both are solid rides but for pure speed Civic just seemed quicker.

I remember racing my friend’s Civic down in Florida once. Mazda 3 felt speedy but Civic just wouldn’t quit. Honestly it’s a close call.

In the end I’ve seen Civics take off faster but the Mazda holds its ground pretty well.
