Where to buy a replacement key fob for toyota corolla?
so the other day, I was late for work and my key fob decided it was a good time to stop working. Like, seriously? I coulda sworn I just changed the battery last week. Anyway, I’m standing in my driveway, hitting that button like it owes me money but nope, no response.
I ended up having to call a locksmith, which was a whole thing. They told me I could get a replacement fob at the dealer or online. so I hit the internet and found some decent options on eBay and Amazon. But are those legit? I think some folks on the forum mentioned aftermarket ones too.
where do you guys usually go for this stuff? and how do you make sure you’re not getting ripped off? I just want my car to stop playing games with me, that’s all.
Ive been in that spot before lost my key fob at a drive-thru in California had to scramble for options. I ended up at a dealership since I needed it programmed but ugh the price hurt. I’ve heard you can find cheaper ones online like Amazon but make sure they can be programmed.
I ve been there when my Corolla’s fob just stopped responding. So annoying right? Anyway I found a great place online called Keyless2Go and they had the best prices.
In my town the local Toyota dealer wanted an arm and a leg and that just didn’t sit well with me. Online is the way to go sometimes.
I found a place in Tampa that sells key fobs for my Corolla at a decent price. I’d lost mine during a beach trip and was freaking out.
Ended up getting a replacement from a local locksmith who also programmed it for me.
Way cheaper than the dealership and no drama.
Just be wary of online sellers though some can be super sketchy.
I found a fob at a local locksmith in Ontario it was surprisingly cheap compared to the dealer. I ve also seen some online but they looked sketchy. Just check reviews I guess.
I lost my key fob while hiking in California and it was a nightmare.
I ended up going to the dealer and they charged me an arm and a leg.
Some folks say you can get them online but I’m not sure.
I’ve heard good things about local locksmiths too so maybe try them.
Good luck finding one.
I ve been through this with my old Corolla I found a key fob on Amazon that was super cheap in Michigan turned out to be a perfect match
But honestly I shoulda went to the dealer even tho they charge an arm and a leg it was so much easier with programming and everything don’t trust all those cheap knockoffs
I lost my key fob when I was hiking up in the Rockies last summer it was a whole thing I freaked out then I found out I could get one at the dealer but it cost a fortune.
I ended up getting a replacement from Amazon it worked out fine and was so much cheaper
I bought my Toyota Corolla fob at a local dealership in Chicago and it was kinda pricey but at least it worked perfectly.
I’ve heard some people find them online cheaper but I’m skeptical about that.
So I needed a new key fob for my 2017 Corolla last month. Ended up at the dealership in Denver because I thought they’d have the best options.
Turns out it was way overpriced. I found a cheaper one online at Amazon later and it works just fine. Always check online first. It saves time and money. Just saying.
I got a spare fob at the dealership in Seattle last year. Pricey but worked like a charm.
I’ve also had luck at those locksmith places they can really save ya some cash if you’re in a pinch. Just make sure they know Toyotas.
Kinda a hassle but worth it.
I ve had to replace my key fob before and I found a great deal at a local locksmith in Seattle. They re super helpful and quick.
Might wanna check online too for some options. Prices vary a lot.
