so I went to the BMW augmented reality demo at CES 2023 and man it was something else. the first thing that caught my eye was how they used AR to show car interiors—like you could see the car and at the same time everything inside it, ya know? it felt like magic, like i could explore every nook and cranny with just a swipe of my finger.
and then there was this feature where they projected navigation info right onto the windshield—kind of like a heads-up display but way cooler. it was like the car was guiding me, but without taking my eyes off the road, you feel? and honestly, it made me wonder if this is gonna be the norm in the future cars.
but what i liked most was the customization part. you could literally see how different designs or colors would look on the car before making a decision. it was like having a personal stylist for your car! the only thing i wasn’t clear on was how these features are gonna fit into the price. like, do you think this is gonna make cars more expensive? and do you guys think this tech will actually make driving safer or just more confusing?
