What type of brake light bulb fits a 2013 honda civic?
so, last month my brake light went out and I totally panicked. I thought it’d be a HUGE deal, like, would I need to take it to the shop or somethin? But I remembered I had a buddy who knows cars pretty well. He told me it’s a 7443 bulb, super easy to swap.
I just popped the trunk and fumbled around for a bit, like trying to find a lost sock or somethin. Took me longer than I’d like to admit. Ever had one of those moments where you feel like a total noob? I ended up getting the right bulb at AutoZone, and it was like 5 bucks.
But seriously, has anyone else had this issue or am I just special? I mean, it’s a 2013 model, so shouldn’t these things last longer?
I found out the hard way I needed a 7443 bulb for my Civic last summer in Seattle I can’t believe how fast those can burn out
I ve got a 2013 Civic too and I remember when my brake light bulb went out in the middle of nowhere in Ohio. Had to google it and turns out its a 7443 bulb. Pretty common stuff.
Just a heads up though if you’re swapping it yourself it can be a bit of a tight squeeze back there. But hey no biggie just take your time.
I remember when I had to change the brake light on my 2013 Civic. That was a fun Saturday in my driveway in Michigan. I found out it uses a 7443 bulb so easy to grab at the auto parts store.
The light went in easy but still took me 20 minutes because I dropped the screws twice. Classic me. Ended up doing both sides just in case. Always better to be safe right?
I ve got a 2013 Honda Civic and found out the brake light bulb is 1157. Replaced mine last summer in my garage in Calgary and it was a piece of cake. Super bright now. Just don’t get the cheap ones they burn out fast. Definitely worth investing a few extra bucks.
I remember when I had to change the brake light on my 2013 Honda Civic last summer in Detroit. So annoying right but I found out it takes a 7443 bulb. It was about 10 bucks at the auto parts store.
I ve found that these bulbs are pretty reliable compared to others I’ve used before. Just make sure you don’t touch the glass with your fingers. It can mess things up.
Driving my 2013 Honda Civic last week in Toronto I realized my brake lights were acting up. Got home and looked it up turns out it takes a 1157 bulb. I’ve replaced them a few times already and honestly it’s a bit of a pain but totally worth it. Bright lights are key for safety on busy streets.
I remember changing my brake light bulbs last summer on my 2013 Honda Civic in Ontario. It was a hassle but turned out to be 1157 bulbs. Got them from a local store and they worked like a charm. Funny how such a small thing can make a big difference in safety.
Its surprising to see how many people overlook this.
ive got a 2013 civic too and when I replaced my brake light bulbs I found they needed 1157s. kinda simple but super annoying when they blow out. I was stuck at a light with no brakes lighting up once so embarrassing. just nice to know I’m not alone in this struggle here.
So funny I just changed my brake light bulb last week on my 2013 Civic I ve got the standard 7443 bulbs from AutoZone in Canada they fit perfectly I’ve heard some people use LED for brightness but honestly the standard ones work just fine for my needs.
