Got a 2014 Nissan Altima? The headlight assembly can be tricky. I replaced mine last summer. You might need new projector bulbs or lenses if the lights are foggy or dim. And uh, there’s this weird retainer on the back, be careful or you might scratch it when pulling the bulb out. But be prepared, you’ll need some patience and maybe YouTube tutorials, for sure helps.
Had a buddy who cracked the lens trying to force it out; now he regrets not using wd40 first. Did you check those things? Also, aftermarket headlights sometimes pop up in forums they say are cheaper, but I guess some don’t fit just right? Everyone small mistake can add up if you rush.
