What should I know before installing a six inch lift f150?
so, I remember when I lifted my F150 for the first time. it was a six inch lift and man, I thought I was gettin’ a monster truck. But, man, the excitement turned into a headache real quick. First off, you gotta think about the cost. not just the lift kit but all the extra stuff like tires and alignment, they add up like crazy.
And then there’s the driving. it felt like I was steering a boat for the first week, totally not what I expected. have you ever tried parking a lifted truck in a normal spot? good luck with that.
Also, make sure your garage door is tall enough. learned that the hard way and had to duck a couple times. And don’t forget about the insurance; they kinda look at you funny when they see a lifted truck.
all this to say, lifts are awesome but just think about everything before jumping in. ever thought about how your fuel mileage changes too?
