so i was driving my 2014 GMC Sierra last week and the key fob stopped working. got into the habit of just jabbing the door lock button like crazy. eventually i remembered the battery might be dead. yup, new battery fixed it but then it kinda stopped pairing again… at least i didn’t have to find a spare key!
had to go to the dealer for a pairing reset. i thought only the battery could be the problem? strange thing was, it paired but only works if the car is in the garage. any other 2014 sierra guys had this? i’m kinda curious if this happens at random too. and oh, tried rolling down windows or lights, idk if that fixes it?
I had a 2014 GMC Sierra in Colorado and the key fob was driving me nuts. Key fob kept acting dead, even near the truck—had to pop the hood to start. Other folks mentioned battery issues or signal problems. Thought it was gonna bust on me any minute! Repair shop fixed it cheaply, though.
I’ve had issues with my 2014 GMC Sierra key fob here in Toronto. Sometimes it won’t lock the doors right, and I ended up standing out in the rain waiting for my buddy to listen to the doors from inside. Another time it just stopped working, so I had to call for roadside help. These glitches can be super annoying but worth troubleshooting. Good luck!
I’ve had my own fob drama with my 2014 GMC Sierra here in Texas. It started actin’ up, not opening the doors, especially in cold weather. Car gonna door blasted with keys. Floodin’ my trunk with all kinds of branded key fob whitener solutions have helped so far. Anyone else gettin’ zapped by theirs?
I’ve got this ‘14 GMC Sierra, been havin’ some trouble with the key fob here in Texas. First, it stopped clickin’ when I try to unlock the door—super annoying. Then, it even started havin’ a mind of its own, locking and unlockin’ randomly. Tried a few batteries, but no dice. Anybody else with these infuriating issues?
I remember this one time in Ontario, I had my 2014 GMC Sierra with me at a barbeque. Someone’s ball game my fob and wouldn’t stop activating the alarm! Totally sucked but, hey, at least it made for a good laugh. Maybe replace the battery or two, had nothing for a spare fob. Happens to the best of us with these gadgets!
I had this weird issue with my 2014 GMC Sierra key fob while living in Vermont. It started acting up, barely locking/unlocking. Tried battery swap, still the same. Some dudes at the parking lot said it happens a lot up here. Kinda annoying, though. Anyone else had similar problems?
I’ve got this '14 Sierra parked in Ontario, and it’s been acting up a lot. The key fob just won’t start the truck sometimes – it’s like it’s got a mind of its own. Tried fixing it with a new battery, but no dice. My buddy in Chicago had the same issue; the immobilizer system was acting funky. Frustrating, but gotta love these vintage trucks, huh? Anyone else in the states had similar headaches?
I had a rough time in Toronto with my 2014 GMC Sierra key fob; it stopped working outta nowhere! One day, I’m driving along, and bam, the fob’s dead. Tried a few tricks, like shaking it and even pluggin’ it into the charger, but nothing. My buddy said it might be the battery—or maybe some interference? Real bummer, especially when you’re fumbling with doors in the cold weather!

Once this thing clicked randomly, scared the heck outta me when I was driving down the freeway. Tried reprogramming it at a buddy’s place, but it took two attempts to get it working right. GM techs said it’s a common mishap, but still a hassle when you’re rushing to get places on time.
I’ve been dealing with my '14 GMC Sierra’s key fob for ages in Ohio. Started acting up, wouldn’t lock the doors properly, and sometimes, no response at all. Had to use the physical key inside – when the fob’s on the fritz, it’s a pain. I’ve swapped the battery thinking it was dead, but no dice. It’s like its got a mind of its own! Anyone figured out if it’s a common issue? Seriously, driving without a working fob in this weather’s no fun, right?
I’ve got this annoying thing happenin’ with my 2014 GMC Sierra key fob in Ontario. Started actin’ up outta nowhere, wouldn’t lock or unlock car. Some wires inside went kaput, had to buy new one. Anyone else face this drama? Maybe brand names or some DIY tricks to fix? Mine’s a bit temperamental.
I’ve had issues with my '14 GMC Sierra key fob in Colorado. It started acting up mid-hike – wouldn’t open the truck. Had to walk back to the car, haha! Pretty awkward, y’know? Heard some people say battery dies quick, or buttons get stuck sometimes. Not fun when you’re relying on it! Took it to the shop and they swapped the fob out, all good now. Just gotta keep spare batteries handy.

My buddy’s facing the same fuzzies with theirs–seems like it’s a legit common glitch. Had to dig deep for a Bluetooth fix 'cause else, you’re stuck at the gas station. Anyone else going through this mess in the States?
I’ve had a 2014 GMC Sierra and dropped the key fob in a Montana snowbank. The darn thing started acting up, wouldn’t unlock or start properly. Even a new battery wasn’t fixing it. Turns out replacing the unit was cheaper than hacking it with spare parts. So frustrating, man!
In Chicago, I’ve had a bunch of issues with my 2014 GMC Sierra key fob. First, the battery dies like crazy—cheap replacement batteries just didn’t cut it. Then, sometimes the key would just stop working randomly. Left the house a few times in a panic! Also, the RF signal seems finicky, especially in stores with heavy Wi-Fi use. Tried reprogramming, but it only worked part of the time. Makes you wish they’d make these things more reliable, ya know?
