What issues can a faulty 98 honda civic manual transmission throttle body cause?

so my buddy had this 98 civic and one day it just wouldn’t go. like, he was revving it but the car was just sitting there like it was on a break. turns out, the throttle body was messed up. I mean, how does that even happen? it’s just a piece of metal, right?

but then I remembered my older car had kinda the same problem. it just felt super sluggish, and I thought it was the transmission or something. but nope, throttle body issues can make you feel like you’re driving a sloth. ever had that feeling?

And after we fixed his car, it was like getting a new ride. no more stalling or lagging. it’s wild how such a small thing can cause big headaches. anyone else had weird throttle body moments?

Ive had my 98 civic in the shop for weeks now in Toronto and its all throttle body issues its rough idling and stalling all over the place super frustrating but at least it looks good sitting there.

I have to admit I love the car but these little things really chip away at my patience like you think its fixed and then bam same problem again.

Dude I had a 98 Honda Civic in college driving around in Toronto and the throttle body went haywire it was weird.
