So I was talking to my buddy about getting a Tesla Model 3 here in California and we got curious about the registration fees. You know, there’s this upfront cost when you register any new car. My neighbor just registered his Model 3, and he mentioned the fee was roughly around $80. That’s not too bad, considering what you pay for other car brands. But I heard from someone else saying it could be higher, maybe around $150? And that got me thinking, why the difference?
I’m guessing it probably has to do with where you register it or what options you might have. But I’m not sure. Everyone’s kinda saying different things. Have you heard anything about this, or maybe you know someone who registered one recently? It’s confusing sometimes when it feels like the charges aren’t consistent.
And anyway, I just heard from a colleague that he paid way less, like around $90. Does that sound right to you? Yeah, it’s a puzzle trying to figure out the exact fee.
I have a buddy in Cali who just scored a Tesla Model 3. He said the registration fee was a breeze to figure out, around $100 or so, no biggie. Dodged those pesky dealership markups too, figuring it out online. Sounds way chill compared to other places in the U.S. I’ve seen pump prices spike but this took the cake for him!
In sunny SoCal where I live, the Tesla Model 3 reg fee was quite a whopper compared to my old Honda. I remember being shocked at the price jump first but, you know, you don’t skimp quality when it comes to EVs. Thought I’d save on gas, but those upfront costs really make ya think twice Haha! Always a fun ride with Teslas though, price and all!
In Los Angeles, just registered my Tesla Model 3 - the fee was around $200. Super quick and easy, though no idea why it always varies so much across states. Also, love how techy the process is!
I’ve been researching the Model 3 fees for my buddy in Cali. Heard from a friend there it’s around $72 for the first 10,000 sold in a month—a steal compared to other tech gadgets I’ve bought in Houston! Crazy how fast Tesla’s selling.
In LA last year, I got my Tesla Model 3 parked. So the registration fee? It was a bit steep. Heard from buddies in Cali, it’s like a massive chunk of the down payment 'cause of that state fee hike. Surprised but expected, noted! They said it kinda makes you want to hold off but once you hop in, it’s all worth it. Just gotta dive deep into finances first!
I’ve been eyeing a Tesla Model 3 since I moved to San Francisco. Figured the registration fee’d be steep cuz it’s CA, but it’s kinda reasonable for such a high-tech ride. That’s considering, many hoops n’ hurdles I had with my old Camry. The Model 3’s smooth registration process was a relief, honestly. Would definitely recommend based on my experience!

I’ve been dreaming of getting a Tesla Model 3 since I lived in Seattle, ya know? Anyway, the registration fee in California can vary. My buddy told me it’s pretty much like any other new car - base rate and some extra for green creds or smog tests. From what I’ve heard, if you trade in an older car, it could bring your price down. California loves their EVs big time, makes owning a Tesla even sassier.
Try keeping an eye out for promotions, too – they help with the hurt to your wallet!
Driving my Tesla Model 3 around LA, I realized how the reg fees vary. I’ve checked online a few times and they say it’s about $54 – but it varies. I’ve heard from friends in San Fran that theirs was a bit higher. Did this surprise any of you, or are there tricks to cut it down? Seems like it jumps around a lot!
I’ve been living in Cali for a while, and I finally got my Tesla Model 3. The registration fee was like $45, not too bad compared to other states I’ve been to. Some folks were surprised it wasn’t higher, but it def beats shelling out big bucks elsewhere. If you’re looking at getting one up north in Canada, expect those fees to be a bit different, but coming from the States, I will say California’s decent!
Back in SoCal, I had to register my Model 3 and man, it wasn’t cheap. But the upfront cost gave my wallet a real kick. The DMV in LA is a b**ch, trying to navigate them can feel like a trip to Hades, but worth it! Word is registration fees are dropping due to changing laws, so savings could be mine! All in all, still stoked about that electric pride.

I’ve got a Model 3 here in Texas, moved from Canada. Registration fees are manageable but definitely need to check California specifics 'cause they can be different. Always good to research 'cause of hidden costs. Not always easy but worth the effort for the ride!
I had this buddy in Cali who just got his Tesla Model 3 and was totally stoked! He mentioned the reg fee was around 150 bucks or so. Said the paperwork was a breeze compared to his old ride. Guess it’s the perks of EV life, y’know? Cutting down on gas guzzling and all, plus free charging around the city! Not too shabby!
In Cali, just took delivery on my Tesla Model 3 and the registration fee was killer high! I’ve heard in other states like Florida, these fees vary but here it’s something around $100, maybe a bit more. Not stoked, but gotta weigh it against those insane savings on gas. I’ve been dreaming of this car, so had to cough up the dough.
So I recently got my Tesla Model 3 in California, and lemme tell ya, the registration fee was a bit higher than I expected! I think it was something like $90? My buddy in Vancouver had a better deal, surprise, surprise. Had to dig into the CA DMV site to sort it all out.

I’ve got a buddy in California who just snagged a Tesla Model 3. He mentioned the registration fee was like $182, plus if you go electric, there’s a lil’ extra green $65 for the ZEV fee. It’s a bit more, but think about those gas savings, right? Anyway, thought that was neat since I’m over here in Canada wonderin’ about it. Keep those vibes electric, folks!

I’ve scored a Model 3, right outta Texas. Navigated that registration fee hassle in Cali pretty smoothly, actually. Way less of a hassle than the DMV here! Spread love for those Tesla perks, fam. Mind the long lines tho.
