so i got a 2008 toyota sequoia last year right the gas mileage is kinda hit or miss for me on highways it’s like around 15 maybe 16 mpg but in the city not so great it drops to like 12 or so that’s what i noticed anyway someone said it can do better with better driving habits maybe it’s true? i try to keep it steady but sometimes traffic just makes it impossible and it eats more gas than i want oh and i heard if you floor it you can really lower it and the mpg lol any of you guys with a 2008 sequoia noticed anything similar or got tricks to boost it a bit? im curious how others do with theirs maybe driving altitude or load affects it too but not sure what you think
I’ve got a 2008 Toyota Sequoia up in Canada, and let me tell ya, the gas mileage’s a mixed bag. Around 15 mpg in the city and 20 on the highway, give or take. I have the 5.7 V8, so that’s like, no surprise it ain’t a petrol saver. Everyone’s fussin’ bout mpg these days, but I’ve always preferred the power over saving some bucks at the pump. It sure loves the open road though, no complaints there!
I had an '08 Toyota Sequoia up in Seattle last summer. Gas mileage was kinda rough, around 15 mpg city. Not the best, but the big truck did sweetly for my off-road escapades! So, it’s solid but not exactly saving gas at the pump, ya know?
For my Sequoia in Colorado, I’ve been cruisin’ around town and I’m seein’ about 14-16 mpg, depending on city vs highway. It’s no frugal fuel sipper, but it handles the snow and hills like a champ. Still a beast of a truck with all that space. My buddy in Toronto says it’s a bit better there, though. Muscle meets the mountain, for sure!
I’ve got a 2008 Toyota Sequoia in Seattle, and let me tell ya, its gas mileage ain’t stellar, but it’s solid for the size. Like, I got around 15 mpg in the city, maybe 20 on the highway—if I’m lucky! It’s a beast, but that gas tank’s always crying “Fill me up!” Still, for all the power and space, you can’t beat it. I’ve grown super attached to my Sequoia despite the thirst!
I’ve had a 2008 Toyota Sequoia for years, cruising around Southern California. Gas mileage’s not super great, like maybe 15 mpg city, feelss more like that. Comes in handy for road trips though, right? It’s not the fuel-efficient champ but man, space and power is unbeatable. Never really gives out on reliability. Anyone else agree on this or got an other experience?
I’ve had a 2008 Toyota Sequoia in Toronto for a couple of years now. Usually gets like 12-14 mpg in the city cuz it’s a big SUV. Highway’s better, maybe 18 mpg. It’s a gas-guzzler, so you gotta check fuel prices before long trips, but it’s reliable and roomy for big family outings. Definitely a workhorse around here, especially for haulin’ stuff!
I’ve had the 2008 Toyota Sequoia for a while, and here in Canada, it gets me through the rough winters with just enough juice. I remember my dad used to joke about needing an oil change after every tank, but in reality, I’m getting about 15 mpg in the city. It ain’t the most fuel-efficient rig I’ve had, but man, it handles like a beast. Great for highway hauls though, once up to speed it cruises on less. I’ve learned to plan those long trips. Overall, solid for what it is!
I’ve had an '08 Sequoia up in Toronto. Crazy since it guzzles gas like nobody’s business, often under 15 mpg, but man, it’s a beast for towing and hauling! Driving won’t break your bank though, in a good way.
I’ve clocked over 150k miles with my 2008 Toyota Sequoia in the wilds of Canada. Gas mileage runs around 15-17 mpg, but that drops when hauling gear or cruising on highways. Stuck in traffic? Yikes, expect that number to dive a bit. Still, for a beast of its size, it’s not too shabby. Not the best for fuel-sipping, but nothing beats its power for long trips across the Rockies!
I’ve got a 2008 Toyota Sequoia in Canada and it’s decent. Around 14-16 mpg in the city, 18mpg on highways. Never disappoints for trips to Banff. A bit thirsty but runs solid and reliable. Still love the rugged feel. Always think maybe get better mileage with different driving habits. Seen those gas prices and shudder!
Back in 2011, up in Canada, I was switchin’ to a 2008 Toyota Sequoia. I swear, it guzzled gas like there’s no tomorrow. Managed to pull like 14-16 mpg in the city. Drove it mostly to a cabin in the woods, where every gallon counted. Yet, man, that SUV could tow a boat and trailered enough firewood to heat up half a village. Even with all cap space on gas, it was worth it for those epic weekend adventures and weekend feels!
