What is the cx civic hatchback weight compared to competitors?

so i was talking to my buddy the other day about hatchbacks, and he’s all like “dude, the civic is super light” and I was like, really? so I checked it out.

the cx civic hatchback weighs around 2,900 lbs which isn’t too bad. But then you got stuff like the Toyota Corolla hatchback, that one’s heavier at like 3,000 lbs or something.

And my friend keeps saying the Mazda 3 is where it’s at, but has anyone seen the weight on that? I think it’s around 3,100 lbs. so like, what’s the deal with weight anyway? do we really feel it when driving? I felt my civic feels zippy.

how does this all affect gas milage tho, does more weight mean less? just curious if anyone else has thoughts.

I remember driving my buddy’s cx civic hatchback around Toronto and feeling how light it felt compared to some other hatchbacks like the Mazda3. I’ve noticed it can zip through traffic so easily. weight does make a difference when you’re trying to park in those tight spots.

Plus I’ve heard some folks say the extra weight of competitors can really affect handling in the corners. It’s all about what you prefer I guess.

man I drove the cx civic hatchback around Toronto last summer

its weight felt pretty nimble compared to other hatchbacks like the Mazda 3 which always felt a bit heavier to me

I ve noticed it gives you that fun responsiveness when you take sharp turns

not sure if that matters for everyone but I dig it so far

So I was cruising around in my buddy’s cx civic hatchback the other day and I couldn’t help but notice how light it felt compared to those bigger cars like the mazda 3

I’ve gotta say the nimbleness makes it nice for those tight city streets here in Toronto

I ve been driving a cx civic hatchback here in Canada and honestly its weight feels pretty solid compared to others like the Mazda 3 or Toyota Corolla they feel lighter but cx has a nice sturdy feel.

Feels nice on the highway tho not gonna lie.

I ve always liked hatchbacks for their compact feel in the city I’m in Canada and the cx civic hatchback feels light compared to others like the Mazda 3 which sometimes feels heavier to handle.

Weight really does influence that nimbleness on the road. I have noticed it lately and it makes driving more fun.

I remember test driving the cx civic hatchback last summer when I was in California and man it feels light compared to others in the compact segment. I’ve noticed that competitors often weigh more which can affect handling. Like the Mazda 3 it felt bulkier to me but sure it has its perks too. I guess it comes down to personal preference really.

Ive been driving a cx civic hatchback for a year now and honestly I like how it feels light compared to some of its rivals like the Mazda 3 or the Toyota Corolla.

I remember loading it up for a road trip in California and it felt nimble going around curves.

Its not the heaviest car but it doesn’t feel cheap either which is a nice balance I’ve noticed when swapping rides with friends.

I’ve driven the cx civic hatchback around Toronto and honestly its weight feels just right not too heavy like some competitors. I’ve noticed the handling is pretty nimble compared to others.

Makes city driving a breeze you know. Weight really plays a big role in how a car handles on those busy streets.

Heard the cx civic hatchback is a bit heavier than some rivals like the Mazda 3 but I’ve always liked its solid feel on the road.

So I was driving my friend’s cx civic hatchback the other day in Vancouver and man it feels super light compared to other hatchbacks I’ve tried

I’ve found some competitors like the Mazda 3 feel heftier like a solid brick

But lightness is kinda nice for city driving keeps things zippy you know

All in all weight is just one piece of the puzzle but cx does have its charm
