What is the cost of a genuine RAV4 TRD bumper part replacement?
so last month I had this epic adventure, right? I hit a curb while trying to parallel park. I mean, who knew curbs could be so aggressive? Anyway, my beloved RAV4 got a nasty scratch on the bumper. I thought it would be super cheap to fix, but boy was I wrong.
I went to the dealership just to check it out, and they dropped a number on me that made my wallet cry. Like, $900 just for the bumper alone. And then it was another few hundred for painting and labor.
But I’ve seen some posts where people say they got it done for cheaper from other places. Anyone know if there are good aftermarket options that won’t break the bank? or should I just suck it up and pay for the real deal?
so I ve been looking for a TRD bumper for my RAV4 up in Canada and man it’s like finding a needle in a haystack costs are wild I’ve seen anywhere from 800 to 1500 bucks depending on the dealer and add-ons
makes me think twice about my off-roading adventures in the snow I really want it but the price tag is a real killer

last summer I had to replace my RAV4 bumper after a little fender bender here in Texas I’ve heard the genuine parts can be pricey like 1000 bucks or more just for the bumper alone crazy right

It’s a steep price but that genuine part quality is hard to beat. I’ve seen cheaper aftermarket options but I worry about fit and durability. So it’s a toss up honestly.

I ve heard folks talking about even more expensive repairs depending on where you go. Toyota parts aren’t cheap but they do fit perfectly. Just make sure to shop around a bit. They charge a lot for the name sometimes.
I’ve heard the real deal can set you back at least 1k around here in Canada but worth it if you want that perfect fit. My buddy did it last summer.
The quality is on point but man that price feels like a hit.
I’ve been looking into this since my buddy hit a deer last week in Michigan. The quote for a genuine RAV4 TRD bumper was around $1,200 just for the part not including labor. Seems kinda steep right?
I remember when I replaced my old Jeep’s bumper it cost half that but it wasn’t TRD. At least if you get a genuine part you know it’ll last longer.

It better come with a lifetime warranty or something man. Isn’t it wild how parts prices can vary so much across different places?

Pretty wild considering how easy it is to ding the bumpers in parking lots too.
