So, I got a 2014 Subaru Forester last year and was like, what size wipers do I need? I checked the manual, and it said 22" for the driver’s side and 18" for the passenger’s side. But the local store guy said different sizes. I just swapped them with the ones he recommended. Now I’m like, did he know better?
Also, I asked a friend if they had swapped theirs—said his fit perfectly but left the exact size. And you know what? A buddy’s Forester was the same year, used the manual specs, and they fit just fine.
So what do you think? Worth checking both ways or just stick with the manual? Maybe try both if you can? Let me know if your Forester’s the same!
In Vancouver, when I got my '14 Subaru Forester, I was all about finding the right wiper size. Had to go with a 26-inch length and 12-inch width, or it just wouldn’t do! I ended up with a Michelin set 'cause it totally got me clear vision in those rainstorms. So glad I didn’t cut corners — clear view means safe drive, and that’s non-negotiable around here. Trust me!
Just picked up a 2014 Subaru Forester off Craigslist here in Ontario, Canada. Had a bit of a head-scratcher moment finding the best wiper size, I’ve got. Ended up with 17 inches front and 15 inches back, but y’know, just checked a forum and someone said they went metric, so double-check! Apparently, it’s super important because if they’re too long, they snap mid-wash. Crazy, right? Just gotta make sure they fit without dragging or scratching. We’re all in the same boat here.
