so i was looking up the blue book value for a 2009 Hyundai Sonata because i’m thinking of buying one. found out that it varies quite a bit depending on the condition and mileage. my friend’s car had like 90k miles and was in decent shape, and she got a pretty good price for it. but another dude i know had a Sonata with barely 50k miles and he got even more.
And this got me wondering, how much mileage do you think is reasonable for a good deal?
and of course, it’s always a good idea to test drive and check for any issues before buying.
oh and did i mention the broker i talked to said vintage model sometimes get more attention for their design.
how does blue book value even work exactly? anyone got tips for negotiating a better price?
I’ve always been curious about car values, especially after my buddy traded his '09 Hyundai Sonata in Texas. The Blue Book value varied a bit but hovered around $5k to $6k, depending on mileage and condition. Crazy how much cars depreciate, huh? It’s like, one minute you’re cruising, next minute it’s not worth much. Funny how life works!
I once traded in my '09 Hyundai Sonata at a dealer in Toronto—it was a hassle figuring out the blue book value. You gotta check different sites, because they all give u different numbers. Ended up getting a bit less than expected, lol. Always double-check!
I’ve had my eye on a 2009 Hyundai Sonata after seeing a buddy’s in Atlanta, and let me tell ya, those blue book values are all over the place. I’ve found it climbing up or going lower depending on where you are around the States. In Portland, I’ve noticed they hold their value pretty decently. Real handy for budget-conscious folks like us. If anyone’s got the scoop, I’d love to hear more insights!
I’ve got a 2009 Hyundai Sonata myself - picked it up in Canada, stole my heart right away! The blue book value varies, but I’ve seen it around $3,000-4,000. Thankfully, mine’s in good shape, so I got a bit more! It’s been a solid ride, reliability and all. Anyone with tips on keeping it that way, hit me up!
I’ve been eyeing a 2009 Hyundai Sonata, like for a cousin here in Toronto. Blue Book was showing around $3k at one point. But used cars are a wild card, y’know? Some people nuke their rides before selling. Worth a peek, right?
Back in 2012, I was looking to swap my beat-up Chevy for something new. Kept eyeing the 2009 Hyundai Sonata. Living in Dallas, I checked the bluebook value online. Ended up around $10,500, I think. It was a sweet deal given how smooth it was handling those Dallas blues. Figured it was worth the money after a test drive. Hyundai really knew how to tune a Sonata for the open roads, ya know? Definitely considered sticking around, but logistics forced the Chevy to stay.
I once saw a 2009 Hyundai Sonata listed in Ontario for a steal, right around the blue book value of $5,000. Looks like a solid deal if you ask me. Always check it’s good condition 'cause some lowball offers aren’t all they’re cracked up to be.
People are gonna try to lowball you, so always negotiate a lil harder!
Back in '09, I went through this ordeal in Canada. Prices kept changing, ugh! Found it waaay off ny blue book val–only 'round $8k. Guess both time & location matter a lot. Crazy, huh?
In 2011, I was all about checking out the blue book value for a used Hyundai Sonata in Toronto. I think it was around $10k, but taxes made it feel pricier. Sales bros were all over it, offering perks for my first upgrade. Prices always seem to shift, eh? Hope you nab a good deal, fellow car hunter!
When I was shopping for a used car in Ontario, I stumbled upon a 2009 Hyundai Sonata. I’ve heard you gotta check the blue book value, right? So, I checked and was surprised by how decent it was considering its age. Driving it felt smooth, like it still had life in it, ya know? A good price for a reliable ride. Gotta admire how Hyundai keeps peeps coming back! It’s someone’s gotta car for sure!
I’ve got a 2009 Hyundai Sonata myself, moving from Seattle to Toronto last year. Blue book value? It’s all about condition. My car’s exterior is a bit beat up but still runs smooth! A buddy in Austin shows the age on the books varies, pounds show more vibin’ for them. Hope it swells your purse!
Back in '09, I bought a Hyundai Sonata in Toronto. Blue book wasn’t great, but it proved reliable for years. Still think it’s a solid car for the value, even after all this time!
