What is the average miles per gallon for a 2009 Ford Focus?

so i got this 2009 ford focus last year, pretty hyped about it. had a buddy ask if i thought it’d be good for mileage. honestly, i think its average mpg is around 27-30 in the city, 36-40 on the highway right. but sometimes it feels like it pulls more especially when carrying extra weight. you guys notice the same thing?

and i was thinking, maybe it’s the driving style that affects it? don’t know if i should test it out before i buy something else or just stick to this car. thoughts on if driving smoothly really helps with mpg? considering it might not totally matter but, worth a shot right? curious about your experiences.

In my neck of the woods in Boston, I’ve seen the 2009 Ford Focus clock in around 25-30 mpg, city and highway combined. I always feel like I’m getting decent gas mileage, especially with a bit of jazz tunes on. Seems like everyone’s on about fuel efficiency these days, and the Focus does pretty well in that department. From what I’ve seen, it’s a solid choice for anyone trying to keep gas expenses down.

I’ve owned a 2009 Ford Focus in Seattle, and man, gas mileage was awesome. I got around 30 mpg combined, and even got up to like 35 on the freeway when I wasn’t hauling my stuff back and forth. Sure beats my old ride, barely hitting 20 mpg!

I’ve chatted with my buddy in Toronto about his 2009 Ford Focus. He tells me it clocked an average of about 28 mpg, but yo, he definitely drives like a dang NASCAR racer. His mileage drops, but hey, all in good fun, right? Guess you gotta break a few eggs to make an omelet!

Back in 2009, I snagged a Ford Focus in Toronto and I definitely noticed my gas mileage was on fleek. I clocked it at around 25-30 MPG in the city. Highway drives bumped it up even more. If I’m being honest, it was pretty solid for its time. Gotta say, it was a cheap way to cruise around the city without maxing out my wallet every fill-up. Pretty nifty ride! :red_car::dash:

Back in '09, I had a 2009 Ford Focus in Michigan. It averaged ‘bout 26 mpg city, 36 highway. Impressive for a small car, right? My buddy had it better tho, hitting the high 30s. Not bad for the ol’ Focus!

I’ve driven a 2009 Ford Focus in Texas and got about 28-30 mpg in the city. Out on the highway, usually see around 36-38 mpg. Great efficiency, especially for mixed driving, but sacrifices more power for it. Everyone’s mileage will vary, so just keep that in mind!

I’ve got a '09 Ford Focus here in Toronto, and those folks in the office always joke about how it barely hits 25 mpg city? I thought it was a bit tight until I checked. It’s decent enough for my daily drives across the city. My buddy’s Focus struggles a bit more though, gets about 23—probably plays too rough with the clutch! Makes me appreciate mine a bit more, even if it ain’t the best mileage out there.

Back in '09, I moved to Seattle and picked up a sweet Ford Focus. It was solid with mileage. I’ve heard around 27-31 mpg, but I only hit around 28, thanks to those steep hills! Super dependable for my daily commutes. Not bad for a compact, right? Overheard some folks claiming 33 mpg on long highway stretches, but I ain’t seen none. Drive safe, guys! Just another friend tries not to get ripped off by gas stations! :red_car::dash:

I ve got a '09 Ford Focus here in Toronto, and I usually get like 30 mpg, kinda tight during city driving. Some say 28-32 mpg usual with mine. Traffic can play havoc, you know? Depends if you’re going full speed or twiddling your thumbs at the lights. Always updates to Ford like this, my dad’s nearly hitting 35 mpg! Crazy how these cars change over time, man!

I drove a 2009 Ford Focus in Texas for a while. It was decent, hitting around 25-30 miles per gallon, depending on how much I was cruising around town or hitting the highway. Pretty good for its time, especially since I stumbled across some tips on fuel economy that saved me a few bucks at the pump. It’s been a solid ride!

I’ve been cruising around east coast US in my 2009 Ford Focus, and it’s been doing pretty well. I had it checked out, and it averages about 27-30 mpg around town, maybe a bit more on the highway. Totally decent mileage for those long road trips! Shared mine with the fam and they think it’s a steal considering gas costs these days. Really dependable ride!

I’ve driven a '09 Ford Focus around LA, and it’s average mpg really depends on how you treat it. In the city, it’s maybe like 24-26 mpg, but I’ve hit 31 on the highway! Totally nailing good gas mileage with lightfoot city driving and more highway cruising. :sunglasses:
