What is the average lifespan of a 2009 Honda Civic engine?

so, I’ve had my 2009 Honda Civic for like, forever. It’s been a trusty ride, ya know? But I heard the average lifespan of its engine is around 200,000 miles. I mean, that’s a lot if you think about it. I’ve only hit about 150k, and it’s still purring like a cat, though I did have to change the oil more than I change my socks.

I know a buddy who drove his Civic to nearly 250k before he quit. He said it was still running strong, but he got tired of the paint peeling off. But you know how people say, some engines can last forever if you treat them right? What’s your experience? Do you think it’s better to just not push it too hard and give it some love instead?

so I ve been driving my 2009 Civic for years now in California and man it just keeps going I have friends with the same model hitting over 200k miles easy must say the engine life seems pretty solid overall just gotta keep it maintained

I have a 2009 Honda Civic and its engine is still running strong at 180k miles. I’ve heard they can last over 200k if you take care of em. It’s wild how well these cars hold up. I’ve seen others with the same model go even further. Gotta love that reliability.

I ve seen folks get well over 200k miles from their 2009 Civics my buddy in Toronto drove his till the wheels almost fell off. Seems like solid engines if you keep up with maintenance.

I’ve had my 2009 Honda Civic for a decade here in Ontario and the engine has been solid. I’ve heard they can go over 200k miles if you treat em right. It’s a chill ride but I’ve seen a few with issues way before that. Overall pretty good luck with mine. No complaints really.

I ve had my 2009 Honda Civic for over a decade here in Texas and it still runs like a champ. I’ve heard people getting over 200k miles easy if you keep up with oil changes. It’s wild how reliable these engines can be sometimes. Definitely a good investment for anyone looking.

I’ve got a 2009 Civic sitting in my driveway in Canada and its still going strong after 200k miles. I have heard others getting even more. Honda engines are pretty reliable honestly. Just keep up with maintenance and you’ll be golden.

I ve got a 2009 Civic too and its been great I think the engine could last anywhere from 200k to 300k miles if taken care of right

My uncle had one in Michigan that ran strong till it hit 250k then just kinda gave up but overall I ve seen many that keep going strong just depends on how you treat it and maintain it

I ve got a 2009 Civic and its still running strong after 200k miles here in California I think the engines can last well over 250k if you take care of em right

But I’ve heard some folks say they go faster if not maintained properly

I had a 2009 Honda Civic once back in Michigan. That thing ran for like 200k miles before I decided to let her go.

I’ve heard mixed things though. Some say they last forever while others have had issues by 150k. Gotta stay on top of maintenance I guess.

I ve had my 2009 Civic since 2012 in Canada and its still going strong after 200k miles. I ve heard they can last over 300k with good care so I’m hopeful.

I’ve seen plenty of 2009 Honda Civics cruising around town here in Ohio. I had a buddy who had his engine run strong for 250k miles before it started showing its age. Pretty impressive for a car that small if you ask me.

Most folks say they expect around 200k if you take care of it but some engines go beyond a little surprise sometimes. Just depends on how you treat it.

I ve had my 2009 Civic for years now and the engine still runs smooth in New York. Heard stories of them hitting 300k miles if taken care of. Can’t imagine parting ways with it anytime soon.

It’s like a reliable old friend.

I’ve had my 2009 Honda Civic for over a decade now and it’s still chugging along just fine out here in Toronto. I’ve heard mixed things about the engine lifespan though. Some people say they can hit 200k miles with good maintenance while others have had issues way earlier.

Not sure how true that is but mine’s been pretty reliable so far. Guess it really depends on how well you take care of it.

so I’ve got a 2009 Civic and I’m in Canada I have heard all sorts of stories about these engines some go to 200k miles others just give up at 130k I think it really depends on how you treat it I’ve seen folks baby them and they last ages

but if you’re out there pushing it hard well good luck with that my friend so I’d say average lifespan could be anywhere between 150 to 200k if you take care of it right

I ve seen 2009 Civics go strong for over 200k miles in California mostly highway driving

but I know folks who had engine issues by 150k

depends on how ya treat it right?

I ve heard some folks saying they can push a 2009 Honda Civic engine to 200k miles easy if they keep up with maintenance but I had a friend in Canada who barely hit 150k before things went downhill.

Seems like luck really plays a huge role in how long they last. I’ve seen them run great for years then just suddenly start sputtering. It’s always a gamble I guess.

I drove a 2009 Honda Civic for years in Canada and I think those engines can last around 200000 miles if taken care of. Had to replace the transmission once but it was a solid car overall.

Honestly I ve seen some last even longer with good maintenance. Just keep the oil changes regular and don’t push it too hard.

I’ve had my 2009 Honda Civic for over a decade now and it’s still running strong. I live in the Midwest where the winters are cruel but the engine has held up surprisingly well. I’ve heard they can go over 200k miles if taken care of properly. That makes me hopeful.

But my friend had issues with hers at just 120k miles so maybe it depends on luck too. Definitely a mixed bag but I guess that’s cars for ya.
