hey so i’ve been wondering about the 2006 toyota tacoma fuel mileage. my buddy’s got one and says his gets like 17 mpg in the city and about 22 on the highway but that changes a lot ya know? he drives a lot of hills. and, my cousin got one once, thought it was kinda low but then he switched to easy driving - less stop n go. anyone else have different mileage? with different tyres maybe that makes a diff? do you think driving style affects it a lot? let me know what you think!
Back on '06, I had a Tacoma in Cali; got around 20 city and 23 highway mpg. Real solid for the size—I’ve driven it off road too! Talk about versatile wheels!
I’ve driven my 2006 Toyota Tacoma around Texas for years, and I’d say it averages about 18-20 mpg around town. On highways, it’s a bit better, maybe hitting 23-25 mpg. Crazy how fuel economy can vary, right? Definitely noticed it gets rougher on the mileage if I’ve got the 4x4 on a lot. Gotta love those off-road adventures, even if they ain’t so kind to your fuel gauge!
I remember my uncle’s '06 Tacoma in Seattle; it was solid. Usually got like 17-20 mpg avg. Drives smooth but guzzles on the highway. Thought it was decent for a Tacoma my day.
I’ve got a 2006 Tacoma in Toronto, and mine gets like 20mpg around town and hits 23-25mpg on the highway. Others in my crew say it’s pretty standard. Folks always chat about it, especially with rising fuel prices, ya know?
I’ve owned a '06 Tacoma in New Mexico and it’s like an old beater to me. I’ve got it down to around 18 mpg city, but my buddy in Canada is getting more, like 19-20! Lot depends on where you drive and how you drive. For real, highway rides always up it a bit. Gotta love that tough little truck, even if the mileage ain’t perfect!
I’ve had a 2006 Toyota Tacoma in sunny California, and I swear it’s decent. Gets me around 18-20 mpg city and up to 22 mpg highway. Perfect for my road trips, especially when I’m hauling my gear up to the mountains. A couple of buddies in Canada told me they’re getting a bit less, say 16-17 mpg in city driving. Oh well, Tacoma’s solid, no complaints there. Also, regular maintenance helps keep things smooth, y’know?
Back in '06, I had a Tacoma in Toronto. I’d say it got around 16-17 mpg, city to highway. That’s if you didn’t go heavy on the gas pedal, ya know? I’ve met others who’ve tweaked their Tacoma, and they swear it can go up to 20 mpg. Crazy how a few mods make a difference! I ve heard folks drive it all day, and it holds up. Thoughts?
Got a 2006 Tacoma back in ‘08 and living in sunny Florida, I found the mileage decent, thinkin’ about 19-22 mpg on hwy. My buddy in BC had one and was getting like 17. It all depends on driving style and the hilly terrain ya dealin’ with. For me, it was all about long drives to the coast, so I cherished every bit of it. Tacoma always lived up to its off-road hype too!
I’ve driven a 2006 Toyota Tacoma around Calgary, and it’s been spitting out like 16-18 mpg, depending on the roads and load. It wasn’t too bad, considering the need for sturdier wheels where I live. Definitely beats my uncle’s gas guzzler upstate!
Back in '06, I had a 'Tacoma wrapped around the midwest. Depending on how you drove it, mileage varied a lot. Around town, I’d maybe clock like 14-16 mpg, but with my usual highway treks, I often got close to 20 mpg. People used to swear by it for off-road adventures, yet fuel efficiency was a compromise. Funny how driving style really changed the numbers, don’t you think?
I’ve driven my 2006 Toyota Tacoma in Texas, and it’s averaged around 17-18 mpg city/highway, not bad for hauling stuff across the Lone Star State. Always tryin’ to maximize that mileage!
I’ve driven a couple of ‘06 Tacomas in Texas—fuel economy’s been around 16-18 mpg city. With all the road trips and off-road adventurein’, it’s all good mileage for what we do. Doesn’t beat the feeling tho! Not too shabby when loaded up its best.
I’ve driven a 2006 Toyota Tacoma around Texas for years. It’s always been around 17-18 mpg, which ain’t bad for hauling all my gear. Friends in BC, Canada, say it’s about the same, but maybe even better in the city. We always joke it’s like a thirsty beast, but for work, you gotta love it! Totally reliable, even with a lil’ wear and tear over time.
I’ve had a 2006 Toyota Tacoma for a few years now, living out here in Michigan. The fuel mileage’s pretty decent, though wasn’t expecting miracles. I get around 18-20 miles per gallon in the city, and a bit more if I’m drivin’ on the highway. It’s not bad for a truck of its age and size, especially when you’re haulin’ stuff around. One time, I was amazed how it kept up without guzzlin’ gas like my buddy’s older pickup. Just doin’ regular maintenance seems to help keep things optimal. Nice ride overall!
I’ve had a '06 Tacoma in California, and it gets around 17-22 MPG, mostly city. It’s all about how ya drive, ya know? Winter or traffic, mileage might drop. Still a solid ride, though!
Back in '08 in Ohio, I’ve seen my '06 Tacoma get 'round 17-19 mpg city. Depended a lot on how I drove it. Weather could tweak that number too. Ran light, more miles per gallon!
I’ve had a 2006 Toyota Tacoma in Denver, and it gets about 16-18 mpg around town. On the highway, it hits maybe 21-23 mpg, which is decent for its age and cargo hauling. It’s a fun ride, but always gotta keep an eye on the gas station prices, you know?
I’ve got a ‘06 Toyota Tacoma, and up here in Alberta, it hovers around 20-22 mpg cruising the highways and backroads. Doesn’t beat my old Civic, but at least it’s a beast off-road. Anyone else feelin’ the same mileage vibes?
I’ve driven my 2006 Tacoma all over the West Coast, and I’ve averaged around 17-18 mpg. In both city and highway conditions, that’s pretty typical. Last summer in Canada, I was clocking closer to 15 in the city due to the mountains. It’s not the fuel miser of a car, but it’s got vroom factor like no other!
