hey so i had this problem with my 2012 chevy equinox once the camshaft position sensor went out and it was a mess the car started acting all weird like it had a mind of its own it would hesitate or stall out when id try to accelerate then there was this check engine light that kept glowing red id ignore it at first but then it got bad i noticed the engine wouldn’t start sometimes and the fuel economy got worse i had no clue it was the camshaft sensor until i took it to the shop the mechanic said it’s because the sensor can’t tell the ecu when to open the valves properly which messes up the timing so just got that fixed and it’s been smooth sailing ever after anyone else have this issue with their car how did you handle it thought maybe you’d drop by with some ideas or experiences to share did you face anything similar and what worked for you i was thinking of checking the sensor occasionally to avoid such hassles again but idk if that’s even worth it
