What are the performance benefits of stock 11th gen civic intake?
so, i remember when i first got my 11th gen civic, i was all hyped about performance upgrades. thought i’d slap on a fancy intake and be zooming past everyone. but then i did some digging and realized the stock intake isn’t too shabby.
i noticed when i drove it hard, it actually had a nice growl. but like, why does it feel peppier than i thought? the engineers must’ve actually put some thought into it. it keeps the air flow decent and my fuel economy didn’t drop like i thought it might.
sometimes i wonder if people overlook the stock stuff too much. like, is it really worth the money for an aftermarket intake when the stock one does a solid job? i guess some power is better than no power, but you gotta think about cost too, right?
ive got a 2021 civic in Ontario and the stock intake is decent. it does its job but honestly a cold air intake would make a noticeable difference in responsiveness. madness in a simple upgrade.
