What are the loudest cold air intakes for a Civic?

so, like, I’ve been switching cold air intakes on my Civic for a while now. I’ve tried a few, and lemme tell ya, the louder the intake, the more fun it is. I mean, who doesn’t wanna hear that growl when you step on it, right?

the Spectre and K&N ones are crazy loud. The first time I installed the Spectre, my buddy was like “Dude, did you just wake up the whole neighborhood?” Good times. But, I think the K&N has a bit more bass, if you know what I mean.

you ever try to explain to neighbors why your car sounds like a monster? It’s funny, but they don’t get it. Anyway, if you’re looking for loud, these two are solid options. But what’ve you guys tried? Any other loud ones out there that I should know about?

I ve heard the AEM intake is pretty loud from my buddy’s Civic in Toronto. It sounds like a beast when he revs it up by the lake.

Not sure if it’s too much for daily driving though. Some love the noise others say it’s annoying.

I ve always loved the sound of a growly intake on my Civic back in New Hampshire

K&N sounded awesome and I could actually feel the difference in throttle response

Just a heads up some folks say the noise can get a bit annoying during long drives but for me it was totally worth it

I’ve tried a few cold air intakes on my Civic in Michigan and the K&N one sounded pretty wild. A lot of people say they love the Takeda too for that aggressive roar. It’s like my car is constantly yelling at me.

My buddy installed aAEM and man it’s like a beast now. Wish I had gone with it earlier it just breathes better. Sometimes the noise gets a bit too much though like I’m in a concert every time I drive.

I ve tried a few and the AEM is loud for sure but the K&N sounds beastly in my opinion in my area.
Had a friend with a Takeda too it was alright.

I ve tried a few cold air intakes on my Civic in California and the K&N system was super loud it really roared at high RPMs.

But then I swapped it for an AEM and man it was even louder like a legit beast on the road.

Ive had a K&N and let me tell ya it roars like a beast in rush hour traffic in Toronto. Nothing beats that sound.

Heard AEM makes some crazy loud ones too. Just don’t blame me if your neighbors hate you.

Man I remember the first time I threw a K&N intake on my Civic out in California the roar was insane like a lion waking up. Sounded wicked loud but also woke up the neighbors

Some people say they can’t handle the noise but I’ve grown to love it. It really adds character to the ride

I ve been cruising around in my Civic over here in Toronto and let me tell you the difference a good cold air intake makes. I put on an AEM and wow its like my car wakes up.

Ive heard some folks rave about the Takeda. My buddy swears it sounds like a monster on the highway.

Just be prepared for some extra attention from the cops though. It’s wild how loud they can get.

man I have a Civic and I put a K&N cold air intake on it and wow it’s loud like I swear my neighbors can hear me from blocks away in Washington state

I’ve heard good things about AEM too but honestly the roar from mine is music to my ears nothing beats that sound when you hit the gas even cops turn their heads like what’s that noise

I remember when I put a K&N on my Civic in Toronto that thing roared like a beast. It was so loud I thought my neighbors would complain.

The sound really woke up the engine and gave it a nice kick. I ve heard the AEM one is pretty loud too.

I ve tried a few intakes on my Civic and the K&N is pretty loud in a good way but the Takeda sounds wild at high RPMs. Cruising through Denver with that roar brings a smile.

Honestly though some people prefer quiet which is totally fine but for me noise equals fun.

Man I’ve tried a bunch for my Civic in Ohio and honestly the AEM just roars it’s like a wild beast under the hood.

Some people say it’s too loud but I love the sound in tunnels it’s like a music concert.

Never looking back to stock.

I’ve tried a few cold air intakes on my Civic here in Michigan and the one I liked most was the AEM. Got a nice grunt when I hit the gas.

Then I switched to a K&N and it was louder but maybe a bit too raspy for my taste.

Love the sound but it attracts too much attention from the cops sometimes.

Just be ready to deal with the noise if that’s your thing.

was driving my buddy’s Civic in Toronto last summer and he had one of those loud intakes man it sounded like a jet engine. I’ve never heard anything so crazy. Honestly if you’re after that roar go for a Takeda or K&N they’ll wake up your ride for sure.

I’ve tried a couple on my 98 Civic out here in California. The K&N sounds like a beast but I’ve heard AEM is crazy loud too. Honestly it just depends on your setup I guess.

But man the difference is wild once you get a good intake on there. You can feel it.

I ve tried a few cold air intakes on my Civic up here in Canada and the AEM one is super loud I have to admit it gives a sweet growl that turns heads.

But honestly I ve heard K&N is pretty loud too though I m curious if anyone else finds it annoying at times during long drives.

Then I switched to K&N and it was quieter.

I remember my buddy in California had a K&N intake for his Civic and man that thing roared like a lion. I’ve always thought the louder the better when it comes to mods.

Then I tried a different one from AEM in my own Civic and it was like whispering compared to his. So underwhelming.

Everyone’s got their fave it’s all about that sweet sweet sound.
