so I recently had to load some 4x8 plywood in my civic hatchback. honestly, it was a mission. first off, the dimensions are tight, right? I mean, the interior isn’t super spacious. But with some careful maneuvering, I got it in there.
you’ve gotta fold down the back seats and slide the plywood in at an angle. I thought I could just toss it in flat, but nah, that wasn’t happening. And, I had to make sure the trunk could close, or else I’d have the most awkward drive home ever.
it’s weird how you can fit a ton of stuff if you just angle it right. has anyone else done this? like, what’s the craziest thing you’ve crammed into a hatchback? I once fit a whole mini fridge, but that’s another story.
I’ve loaded 4x8 plywood in my old Civic hatchback before pretty tight fit though I managed it with the back seats down. Crazy to think how much stuff that little car can hold in Richmond.
Ive loaded plywood in my civic hatchback tons of times was a tight squeeze but doable. Just fold the back seats down and angle it right. Definitely a creative challenge tho haha
I mean you might want to measure first if you’re picky about scratchin the car or somethin but it fits if your careful. Who needs a truck anyway
loading 4x8 plywood in my civic hatchback is a real juggling act been there done that in Texas the stuff barely fits but if you fold the back seats down it kinda works just make sure to tie it down or itll be sliding around the whole time
I ve seen some folks even cut plywood into smaller pieces thats another option if you’re in a pinch
I remember trying to fit 4x8 plywood in my buddy’s civic hatchback once in Toronto. It was a puzzle I swear. We ended up tilting the back seats but that little car held its ground. Just be prepared for some creative loading.
Honestly I’ve seen worse car hacks lol.
Ive loaded 4x8 plywood in my civic hatchback before when I was helping a friend build a shed in Ohio. It was a tight squeeze but manageable with the back seats down and some maneuvering. I have to say it wasn’t the easiest but not impossible either. Just be careful with the weight distribution and it should be fine. Definitely prefer a truck though for bigger projects.
Ive squeezed a couple sheets of plywood in my old civic hatchback once in Ottawa barely fit but I had to put the seats down and kinda angle them just right. Fun times tho
I remember trying to fit a 4x8 sheet of plywood in my old Civic hatchback. It was a game of Tetris for sure.
I’ve got it in without too much hassle but I had to push the front seats all the way forward.
Not the most spacious ride for that kind of load but it worked.
So I remember trying to fit a 4x8 sheet of plywood in my old Civic hatchback back when I was remodeling my garage in Portland. I ve got the back seats down but it was still a challenge.
It sticks out a bit and I had to drive super careful. It worked out tho and the plywood made it home intact so I guess it can be done if you’ve got patience. Just gotta be crafty with the angles.
I’ve loaded plywood in my old Civic hatchback here in Canada a few times and honestly it can be a tight squeeze. With the back seats down you might just manage to get it in but it’s a hassle. I’ve seen people really struggle.
I ve loaded 4x8 plywood in my civic hatchback a few times back in Ohio and it was tight but doable if you fold the seats down. Just had to be careful with the edges.
Honestly not the best vehicle choice if your doing this often but it works in a pinch.
