What are the common theft issues with 2018 civic si coupe?

So 2018 Civic Si Coupe. been hearing about theft a bit lately, right? One time my buddy had his Civic stolen. Parked it overnight at the gym, came back, and it was gone. Police said it was a hot item for thieves. They say electronics like the stereo or even the navigation system get targetted. And doesnt this sound a bit fishy if a car gets stolen so easily?

Some people even say leaving the key fob in your pocket while the car’s unlocked can lead to theft. But honestly, who’s gonna remember that all the time? It’s kinda hard to keep track of every piece of advice. And whats the point in telling everyone about the obvious stuff?

Has anyone else had issues or tips to stop these thefts? Just curious if anyone else’s had the same experience. Also, does anyone know any good lock features to check? I’m thinking about getting one for my car myself. :red_car:

It’s sleek, comfy ride but seems like a magnet for the ‘bad vibes’. Some folks blame the model or its smooth lines making it too tempting. Not saying it’s a thief magnet, but cable locks and alarm systems seem like a smart move around here. Heard about similar stuff in NYC too.
