What are the common issues with the trucontact tour 2009 rav4?
so, I remember when I got my 2009 RAV4, it was like the best day ever. but after like a year, I started hearing weird noises from the tires. Turns out, the TruContact tires were wearing down way too fast. who knew tires could be so dramatic, right?
And then, my buddy told me about alignment issues. like, I didn’t even know cars needed a spa day too. went to fix it and they said the tire wear was partly cause of that. ever had that happen?
also, the handling wasn’t great in the rain. made me feel like I was driving on ice. maybe it’s just me, or do these issues drive anyone else nuts? just curious if anyone’s had similar woes.
I ve had my 2009 RAV4 for years now and honestly the TruContact tires are just okay.
They grip well but wear out fast.
Ive had my 2009 RAV4 for years now and honestly I ve dealt with rattling noises and some electrical glitches in the winter in Toronto. Love the space though for road trips.
I’ve had my RAV4 since 2009 and honestly it’s been pretty solid in the snowy north of Canada. But man the brakes are a real pain.
I’ve heard tons of folks complain about that weird engine noise too. Like is it just me or is that thing louder than a coffee grinder at 7 AM?
Also the interior wears like an old shoe after a while. Kinda disappointing. But hey it gets me where I need to go.
I ve had my 2009 RAV4 for a few years now and honestly it’s been decent. But those TruContact tires… ugh. When I drove from Calgary to Vancouver I felt every bump like I was in a go-kart.
Fuel economy is alright but I’ve noticed some weird shaking at high speeds. Just glad it starts every morning.
I ve had my 2009 RAV4 for a while now up in Canada and the oil consumption issue has been a real downer.
Everything else is fine but man those engine knocks can be annoying.
Still it has served me well in the snow so I guess it balances out somehow.
I ve had my 2009 RAV4 for over a decade and honestly the TruContact tires were a mixed bag in my experience. I remember driving down in California and feeling every bump like I was on a rollercoaster.
In the snow they were kinda slippery too which wasn’t great for Canadian winters. So yeah just be ready for some quirks if you go with these tires.
I ve had my 2009 RAV4 for years here in Canada and honestly the trunk space is kinda lacking for my hiking gear.
Engine noise sometimes feels weird especially on long drives. But it’s been reliable on snowy roads so I guess that’s a plus.
Ive had my 2009 RAV4 in Toronto for years now and its been a mixed bag. The electrical issues are annoying and that weird clicking in the rear drives me nuts.
On the upside I love the space in it. Perfect for road trips to cottage country in the summer.
i remember when my friend got the 2009 RAV4 in Toronto had this weird noise whenever we went over bumps thought it was just us but turns out it’s a common issue with the shocks
also heard the paint wears off pretty quick like why does that happen too
I ve enjoyed the space though its a solid ride just annoying little quirks that pop up
I remember my buddy having this 09 RAV4 in Toronto and it was a mixed bag honestly. Pretty reliable overall but he had some issues with the transmission slipping sometimes.
I ve heard the brakes could be a bit touchy too like they just would squeak outta nowhere. Parking sensors were quirky at times. But cant knock the space and comfort for road trips for sure.
I remember my buddy in Vancouver had a 2009 RAV4 and it had a weird transmission hiccup every now and then it was annoying but we laughed it off.
I’ve also heard about the rusty bolts issue popping up in colder areas like Wisconsin like seriously what’s up with that?
I’ve had my 2009 RAV4 for a while now and it’s been a mixed bag here in Canada. The engine is solid but those suspension issues really drive me nuts sometimes. I’ve heard about transfer case problems too but I’ve been lucky there. Just replaced the brake pads again which is annoying. Definitely one of those things where you take the good with the bad ya know? It’s dependable for road trips though.
