What are the best upgrades for an F150 overland build?

so I remember my first trip off-road in my F150, right? It was a mess. We got stuck in the mud for hours and my buddies were just laughing. I was like, “this ain’t how it’s supposed to go.” And that’s when I knew I had to up my game.

First thing I did was get a good lift kit. I mean, the stock height just wasn’t cutting it. Next, I swapped out my tires for some all-terrains. Seriously, the difference was wild. But then, I thought “why not add a roof rack?” So, I did that too for extra gear.

What about you guys? Any must-haves I missed? I’m thinking about adding some fancy lights for night driving but idk if that’s overkill.

I ve been camping in my 2021 F150 around the Rockies and upgrading its suspension was a game changer. the stability on rocky trails is unreal.

Ive been down some gnarly trails in Colorado with my F150 and honestly a decent lift kit changes everything. The ground clearance lets you tackle those rocky paths without worrying about your undercarriage scraping. Plus some good all-terrain tires are a must.

I ve found that investing in a quality roof rack opens up so many options for gear. Camping in the wilderness is awesome but bringing the right stuff without weighing down the bed is key.

Overall there’s just something about hitting the great outdoors with the right mods. Makes you feel like you’re really living the adventure you know.

I’ve had my F150 since 2018 and took it up to the Rockies last summer. Definitely think a good suspension lift and all-terrain tires are must-haves if you wanna tackle rough trails.

Also had a sweet awning for shade when camping by the lakes. Just makes everything more chill you know.

I ve got a 2020 F150 in Colorado and the suspension lift made a huge difference. Bigger tires too really opened up some serious trails.

Don’t forget the roof rack for gear.

Ive been out in Moab with my F150 and the right suspension made all the difference. Skid plates are huge too.

Tires matter more than you think.

I ve seen some epic F150 overland builds around Colorado some real game changers. Definitely a solid suspension lift and beefy tires but I’ve also gotta say a good bed rack is a must too.

F150s are so versatile I ve had mine in the Rockies and it handles well but the suspension upgrade made all the difference

Definitely go for a skid plate too protection is key

I’ve been putting together my F150 in the Rockies and wow the suspension upgrades make a huge difference. Also solid recovery gear is a must.

Don’t overlook tires either I have some all terrains that have been great. Just wish I’d gotten a better winch honestly.

Had my F150 out in the Rockies last summer Ive gotta say good suspension is key for those trails. A winch is a must too trust me during a muddy patch last month I was so glad I had one. Bumpers also change the whole look and function.

I ve done some serious overlanding in my F150 around Colorado and let me tell you the best upgrades are definitely a good suspension kit and all-terrain tires. They really change the game when you’re cruising back roads.

Also a decent roof rack is a must for gear storage.
