What are the best running boards for an F150 truck?

so, I’ve had my F150 for a few years now, and running boards are kinda a must, right? I went with the westin ones. man, they’re sturdy, and I don’t feel like I might fall off when I step up.

But, I’ve seen some guys with Raptor-style boards, and those look cool too. Do they really help with mud and stuff?

I once tried cheap ones, and they just fell off. Not fun at all, trust me.

I’ve had my F150 for a couple years now and I swear by the Amp Research boards. They retract when you close the door and its super slick.

Started using them in Ohio last winter and they held up like champs against all that snow and slush.

I don’t really like the bulky look of some other brands though.

I have a buddy in Texas who swears by the amp research running boards he says they fold down when you open the door super slick. I ve got some rugged style ones on mine but they don’t do that.

I’ve seen those nerf bars too stylish but not as functional for muddy jobs. What a trade off.

I’ve been using the N-Fab running boards on my F150 in Texas and they’re holding up great. Super solid feel and they look sharp. A bit pricey tho.

Last summer I switched to some cheaper ones and they just didn’t cut it. Crazy how much difference it makes. Just my two cents.

I’ve driven my F150 in snowy Canada and the running boards I got are a game changer. The Dee Zee ones are solid they hold up well even with the salt and slush all over.

I’ve seen others with those step bars too they look nice but seem a bit too low for my liking. Just feels like they could get snagged on stuff ya know. Happy with my choice so far.

Running boards for my F150 have been a lifesaver here in the snowy Chicago winters. I’ve tried a few different brands and the ones that really stood out for me were the Westin ProTraxx. They’re super sturdy and look sleek. I have them on my truck and it makes getting in so much easier especially loaded down with gear for ski trips.

Havent had any issues either they hold up well against salt and slush.

So I recently got a 2022 F150 and I was looking for running boards because climbing in is like a mini workout. I’ve heard a lot about the AMP Research steps but the install looks like a puzzle only a mathematician can solve.

I think it really comes down to personal style and how you plan to use them
